Victory Condition: The Carriage Reaches the Escape Point

Get Emperor Xian's Carriage safely to the Escape Point at the Southwestern side of the map.

Defeat Condition: The Carriage is Destroyed, or Cao Cao is Forced to Flee

Prevent either the Emperor's Carriage or Cao Cao from fleeing the battlefield by watching their condition, assisting in fights, and raising the team's morale.

Assist Your Ally's Advance Fend Off Enemy Reinforcements Regroup at Hulao Gate Defeat the Large Enemy Forces

Assist Your Ally's Advance

Li Dian and Yue Jin will advance to secure the Emperor's route. You will begin the battle positioned just somewhere behind the ally vanguard. Catch up to Li Dian and Yue Jin and begin escorting the Emperor's Carriage.

Fend Off Enemy Reinforcements

Somewhere near the beginning of the mission and just before the final stretch, the enemy will call in reinforcements. Either intercept these forces enroute to the carriage or wait for them at it, the only thing you need to ensure is that the carriage makes it out alive.

Guide the Carriage When It Reroutes

The carriage will change its route as the mission progresses. Depending on how fast you can clear enemy groups, conquering enemy bases before these transitions will allow for a smoother run.

Regroup at Hulao Gate

At this point, Xu Zhu will march his forces to rendezvous with you at Hulao Gate. Clear any remaining enemy forces and travel with the carriage until you arrive at the checkpoint.

Whilst nearing the destination, Jia Xu will appear with reinforcements and attempt to stop your advance.

Defeat the Large Enemy Forces

The last leg of the mission is when Li Jue and Guo Si appear from the Northeastern and Southeastern corners of the map, both with Large Enemy Forces. Defeat both of them while keeping the carriage and Cao Cao safe to complete the mission.

Rescue of Emperor Xian Rewards

Weapon Proficiency

Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapons used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.

Best Skills to Get First

Skill Points and Mount EXP

Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.

These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
