How to Do a Battle Art Chain

Use an Art with a Companion Nearby

To do a Battle Art Chain, you need to perform a Battle Art when you see a blue indicator connecting you and a nearby allied character. If done correctly, that officer will follow-up your Art with one of their own.

Draw Attention to Prompt the Chain

The indicator only appears after you have drawn your ally's attention. This is done by fighting well, doing parries and evading enemy attacks. The blue line will show after you've done enough of these maneuvers in combat.

Additionally, your own Battle Arts will glow blue, and blue hexagons will also appear over the head of an ally who is ready to perform a Battle Art Chain.

Can be Performed with Other Ally Officers

Other non-Companion ally officers can also perform a Battle Art Chain. The requirements for them to do so are the same as a Companion Officer's, so stick close to them and perform well in battle!
