Victory Condition: Defeat Liu Biao

Defeat Liu Biao to win this battle. He is a spear wielder but can be easily defeated, so take him down at the final area of Nanyang once spotted.

Defeat Condition: Sun Jian Flees or Yuan Shao's Forces Arrive

For this mission, make sure to mind and raise your morale to stop Sun Jian from fleeing the battlefield and clear the objective before Yuan Shao and his forces arrive.

How to Unlock Assault on Nanyang

Proceed to Sun Jian Camp at Jing Province

Go to Sun Jian's Camp and trigger a cutscene with the Wanderer talking to Sun Jian. Assault on Nanyang main story mission should be unlocked afterwards.

Conquer Enemy Bases With Sun Jian Charge Through Enemy Barricade Charge Through Enemy Volleys While Crossing the River Defeat Liu Biao's Large Force Defeat Liu Biao

Conquer Enemy Bases With Sun Jian

Stay close to Sun Jian and take over enemy bases while you make your way towards Liu Biao.

Make sure to always keep him within sight to easily help take down enemy officers.

Charge Through Enemy Barricade

While making your way to enemy bases, there will be barricades preventing you from progressing.

Feel free to attack and take down enemy defenders, or order your troops to Charge through the barricade!

Charge Through Enemy Volleys While Crossing the River

When crossing the river, going straight will result in getting hit by arrows! Order allied soldiers to charge through and knock enemies out to move forward.

Defeat Liu Biao's Large Force

Before facing Liu Biao himself, you will need to disband his large force. Take down enemy officers as fast as possible to clear the way.

Defeat Liu Biao

After defeating his large force, aim to take down Liu Biao before Yuan Shao and his forces arrive!

Assault on Nanyang Rewards

Weapon Proficiency

Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapons used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.

Best Skills to Get First

Skill Points and Mount EXP

Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.

These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
