Take 10 Bases

Dynasty Warriors Origins - Take 10 Bases

The battle begins with your allies moving to capture the nearest enemy bases. Guo Jia, shortly after, will comment that you need to only take a majority of the enemy's bases to control the battlefield. It's at this time that he'll request Xiahou Yuan to stall against Lu Bu.

Plan Your Next Move

Dynasty Warriors Origins - Plan Your Next Move

Very early on, you can make the choice of either engaging Lu Bu and defeating him and his Lieutenants, or trying as fast as you can to capture 10 bases.

While taking bases is easier and more direct, it can be a prolonged loop later on as enemy officers will try to recapture bases you've already taken prior to Lu Bu advancing to Cao Cao's headquarters.

Secure Cao Cao's Retreat

Dynasty Warriors Origins - Secure Cao Cao

Allowing Lu Bu to progress with his assault, Cao Cao will abandon the initial Main Camp at the Northern tip of the map and fall back to a Western base. Dian Wei will attempt to buy more time and hold back Lu Bu at the main camp's gates.

Capitalize on the Enemy Advance

Dynasty Warriors Origins - Capitalize on the Enemy Advance

Once Lu Bu takes the original main camp, his forces will all advance and attempt to recapture their lost bases. During this time, you can take out enemy officers one by one, as well as aim to dispatch both Zhang Liao and Chen Gong.

If you can take out every enemy except Lu Bu by this point, then you can just leave him running around the map trying to recapture bases while you finish capturing the remaining ones. The mission completes the moment you capture 10 bases.
