Preloads were available for Xbox, PS5, and PC platforms prior to the game's release on January 17, 2025. Only the Digital Deluxe version came with advanced access on January 14.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins was available for preload on the Xbox Series X|S after pre-purchasing a copy of the game from the Xbox Store before the 17th of January.
PS5 preloads were also available for Digital Deluxe edition players, who were able to play the game early with the Deluxe edition. The regular edition could also be preloaded, but with no early access.
Similarly, the Digital Deluxe edition of the game is now also available on Steam alongside the regular version. Both versions were available for preload, but the Deluxe edition was the only one with early access prior to Jan 17.
Preloading allows players to install the game in advance, ensuring they can dive right in on release day without waiting. This is perfect for long-time fans of the Dynasty Warriors series and eager new players who want to start playing hassle-free as soon as the game launches!
