Victory Condition: Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei Escapes
Whether you chose the Wei or Shu route, the objective is the same. Ensure that Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei all reach the escape point.
Defeat Conditions: Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, or Xiahou Dun Flees
Prevent Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, or Xiahou Dun from fleeing the battlefield by watching their conditions, assisting them in fights, and raising the team's Morale.
You may also choose Xiahou Dun as a companion before the battle in order to support him better.

Reach Liu Bei
Quickly meet up with Liu Bei at the bottom of the map as he is separated from Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Prioritize assisting him to the escape point at the northwest as the other two can hold out by themselves for now.
Be Wary of Pincer Attack
Reaching the middle of the map, there will be numerous of Lu Bu's reinforcements sent after you, resulting in a pincer attack. Try not get overwhelmed. Remember to utilize Battle Arts, Tactics, and Musuo Attacks to overcome the enemy.
Musou Gauge and Musou Attack Guide
Capture Middle Base for Support
If you need extra support, such as a top up for Guards or Meat Buns, you can capture the middle base. This will help with your allies' Morale as well.
Assist Liu Bei to Escape Point
After dealing with the enemy forces, keep escorting Liu Bei towards the escape point. Once he reaches it, he will stay there to wait for Guan Yu and Zhang Fei.
Clear Path for Guan Yu and Zhang Fei
Once Liu Bei is secured at the escape point, focus on clearing the path for Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. All other paths for them will be blocked off, so you need to help them through the top base that is armed with ballistas.
Capture the base in order to disable the ballistas so they can safely go through. If they have not reached the base yet, go to their aid.
Defeat Chen Gong
Once Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei all reach the escape point, Chen Gong will appear with more enemy forces to stop their escape. Defeat him in order to win the battle.

Advance to Escape Point
At the start, you will have to fight your way up north with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to divert the attention from Liu Bei, who is traveling south. Waves of Lu Bu's reinforcements will swarm you, so try your best not to get overwhelmed.
Two paths at the top will get blocked off by the enemy if you try to cross them, forcing you and your allies to go through the top base to get to the escape point.
Capture Bases for Support
On your way up, capture the two bases you will come across to give you a better chance in battle. This will improve your allies' Morale and grant you a chance to replenish on health and Guards.
Stop the Volley Ambush
Before reaching the north base, you will be ambushed by volleys. At the same time, Zhang Liao will appear and attack your group from behind. Focus first on defeating Hou Cheng and Xu Si's forces situated on the elevated areas in order to stop the enemy tactic.
After stopping the volley, focus on defeating Zhang Liao so Guan Yu and Zhang Fei can advance.
List of All Tactics and How to Use Them
Meet Up with Liu Bei
Push through the north base in order to reach Liu Bei on the other side. Be wary as this base will have ballistae stationed on it. You can only get rid of them once you capture the base.
Defeat Chen Gong
Once Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei all reach the escape point, Chen Gong will appear with his enemy forces to stop the escape. Defeat him in order to achieve victory!
How to Unlock Escape from Xiaopei
Finish Escape from Wan Caste in Wei Route
To unlock Escape from Xiaopei in the Wei route, clear Escape from Wan Castle in Chapter 4.
Finish Subjugation of Yuan Shu in Shu Route
Clear Subjugation of Yuan Shu in Chapter 4 to proceed and unlock Escape from Xiaopei in the Shu route.
Escape from Xiaopei Rewards
Weapon Proficiency
Weapon Proficiency will be rewarded based on the weapon/s used in battle. Ranking up weapon proficiency raises Wanderer's level, and reaching certain levels will unlock new skill trees to spend skill points on.
Skill Points and Mount EXP
Skill points and Mount EXP are also awarded based on the number of enemies defeated and which Horse was used.
These rewards vary greatly depending on the Wanderer's performance during battle.
