Block His Crescent Blade Use Assaults with Officers Use Tactics and Companions

Block His Crescent Blade

Guan Yu uses a Crescent Blade to attack, so most of his moves are wide-sweeping. However, his attacks are slower than most, so he should be easier to read for blocks compared to other officers with faster weapons.

Make use of perfect blocks for his horizontal and vertical swings. Use a Special Art for when uses his orange attack. Dodges also help in avoiding his swings, but some his consecutive attacks may catch you at the end of your dodge.

Use Assaults with Officers

Guan Yu will likely be bunched up with other officers in the fight. Take advantage of beating down the other officers' stances when he is nearby and going for Assaults to stun him.

Use Tactics and Companions

Since Guan Yu may sometimes be paired with other officers in the field, you'll want to use Tactics such as Charge for dealing some damage and crowd control. Use your Eyes of the Sacred Bird to scan the field and keep a watch on his position.
