How to Save Sun Ce

Replay the Suppression of Wu

To save Sun Ce in the Chapter 4 mission Suppression of Wu, you must find and defeat Bailuan as soon as Sun Ce gets lost in the western forest. Follow these steps to save Sun Ce successfully.

Do note that you can save Sun Ce even before the post-game. But, if you already finished the mission, then you can replay it through the Story Mode mechanic after beating the game once.

• Take the Two Central Bases
• Find and Defeat Bailuan
• Complete the Stage as Usual

Wu True Ending Guide (Sun Forces)

Take the Two Central Bases

Immediately attempt to capture the two central bases in the map which are the two green circles shown in the image above. While you are trying to take over the bases, Sun Ce will be capturing the base on the left side of the map.

After capturing the two central bases, go to the green x mark shown in the image above and defeat the officers there to protect Sun Quan while Sun Cei is still capturing the base.

Find and Defeat Bailuan

Once Sun Ce captures the base and attempts to push into the forest, his marker on the map will disappear. Immediately follow him into the forest to the west and find a hidden cave to the southwest.

Engage and defeat Bailuan. This will be a tough boss fight so use perfect parries, interrupt his abilities with special skills, and deplete his Fortitude to perform Assault attacks. Keep up the onslaught until Bailuan is defeated and you earn the Fate Altered notification.

How to Beat Bailuan

Complete the Stage as Usual

As Bailuan is defeated, you have already fulfilled the requirements for the true ending of Wu. Just complete Suppression of Wu as you normally would by keeping Sun Quan alive and defeating all other enemy officers.

Rescuing Sun Ce Tips

Use Grade 7 or Stronger Weapons

To make saving Sun Ce easier, make sure to use Grade 7 or stronger weapons. The best options for fighting Bailuan are the ultimate weapons that become obtainable in the post-game.

Lower the Game's Difficulty

If you are having a hard time rescuing Sun Ce, you can opt to lower your game's difficulty to Historian. This will make Bailuan and other enemies on the map easier to deal with.
