What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants Canto, Special cooldown charges, and damage reduction. ・Exclusive C skill applies 【Divine Vein (Green)】 to terrain and provides sustain post-combat. |
Might: 14 Range: 2 Enables【Canto (2)】. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, grants Atk/Spd+X to unit (X = 9, - 3 × number of allies with HP ≤ 40%; min 0), grants Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack), and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 40% during combat ("first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes). At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 to unit, inflicts Atk/Def-Y on foe during combat (Y = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat, + 3; max 6), and also, if Y ≥ 5, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 30% during combat. |
Cooldown Count = 3 Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. |
If unit or foe initiates combat after moving to a different space, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd during combat = X + 6 (X = number of spaces moved by whoever initated combat; max 4.) If X ≥ 2, neutralizes unit's penalties to Atk/Spd during combat. |
Removes the condition to transform. Inflicts Spd/Def-4 on foe during combat, and if unit's Spd > foe's Spd, neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat, and unit deals damage = 10% of unit's Spd (excluding when dealing damage with an area-of-effect Special). |
After unit acts (if Canto triggers, then after unit acts and again after unit moves with Canto), applies 【Divine Vein (Green)】 to unit's space and spaces within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. Restores 7 HP to allies within 2 spaces of unit after combat. If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat, inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack), and restores 7 HP to unit after combat. 【Divine Vein (Green)】 Applies the following effects on space for foes: Foe cannot warp from this space or into this space (does not affect units with Pass skills or warp effects from structures like camps and fortresses in Rival Domains). Inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack (only highest value applied; does not stack). (Divine Vein effects do not stack; replaces any existing Divine Vein effect; Divine Vein effects applied simultaneously cancel each other out.) |

See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Ratatoskr are +Spd and -Res. Ratatoskr's Spd is quite high at base 46, increased to base 50 with a superboon. Ratatoskr can utilize her high Spd stat to prevent her foe's follow-up attacks and create follow-up attacks of her own.
Ratatoskr's Res is abysmal at only base 21 and no amount of investment will protect her against heavy mage nukers. Res is a safe bane to take.
We recommend +Spd when merging Ratatoskr up to +10 to retain her Spd advantage against her foes.

This build uses Momentum 4 to quickly trigger Nimble Beast and allow Ratatoskr to provide quick offensive pressure to her foes.

Ratatoskr's base kit is already good enough to be a significant offensive presence. Atk/Spd Solo 3 works well upon attacking and Canto can ensure she keeps it activated on enemy phase.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Ratatoskr is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Ratatoskr's exclusive weapon World-Tree Tail grants 【Canto (2)】, providing her post-combat mobility.
In combat, World-Tree Tail grants Ratatoskr Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 and Atk/Spd bonuses based on how many allies are at 40% HP or lower. To maximize these stat bonuses, keep Ratatoskr's allies healthy by making her attack first or by healing them before Ratatoskr attacks.
World-Tree Tail also grants Ratatoskr Special cooldown charge +1 per attack and 40% damage reduction on her foe's first attack.
Finally, World-Tree Tail has the new cavalry beast transformation effects, which grant her Atk+2, an Atk/Def penalty based on spaces moved from start position to end position, and an additional 30% damage reduction on her foe's first attack during combat. These effects stack with the base effects above and make Ratatoskr deceptively bulky despite her average defensive stats.
Ratatoskr's exclusive C skill Mending Heart applies 【Divine Vein (Green)】 to terrain up to two spaces away after each of her actions and after she uses Canto. This modified terrain prevents foes from warping to affected tiles and slows down their Special cooldown charges during combat.
Mending Heart also grants Ratatoskr Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat, slows down her foe's Special cooldown charges per attack, and restores 7 HP to both herself and her nearby allies after combat.
Ratatoskr takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Ratatoskr takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
