When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
Neutral IVs by default!
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Winter Eikþyrnir will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
+Def / -Spd
The best IVs for Winter Eikþyrnir are +Def and -Spd. Def is a superboon and boosts Eikþyrnir's Def from base 48 to base 52, raised to base 55 after equipping Delivering Antler. Boosting Def also improves Delivering Antler's Atk/Def penalty effect
With this high of a Def stat, Eikþyrnir can easily function as a physical tank.
Winter Eikþyrnir's Spd is a clear dump stat and can be safely taken as a bane.
+Def for a +10 merge
We recommend +Def when merging Winter Eikþyrnir up to +10 as it improves his bulk both directly and indirectly through Delivering Antler.

How to Use, Explanation
This build maximizes Eikþyrnir's Atk and Def stats to land heavy damage with Ignis pre-charged through Momentum. Sturdy Beast can be used to provide extra bulk at the cost of some damage.

This is a budget build aimed at using Eikþyrnir as a bruiser unit. A/D Near Trace 3 was obtainable as limited time ephemera from a Ninja Cherche combat manual. Feel free to replace this if you do not have access to it.

Winter Eikþyrnir is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Winter Eikþyrnir Strengths
Delivering Antler is a fantastic support/offense hybrid weapon
Winter Eikþyrnir's Delivering Antler grants Atk/Def+6 and 【Bonus Doubler】 to Eikþyrnir and all allies within 2 spaces of Eikþyrnir at the start of each turn.
After start-of-turn skills trigger, if Winter Eikþyrnir is within 2 spaces of an ally and either him or his nearby allies have visible bonuses to Atk/Spd/Def/Res, Delivering Antler increases those bonuses by +3 (capped at +10 total per stat).
In combat, if Winter Eikþyrnir initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, Delivering Antler inflicts Atk/Def penalties on his foe equal to 6 + 20% of Eikþyrnir's Def, neutralizes his foe's bonuses to Atk/Def, neutralizes penalties to Eikþyrnir's Atk/Def, and grants Eikþyrnir a guaranteed follow-up attack and bonus damage equal to the highest total bonuses among Eikþyrnir and allies within 3 spaces of Eikþyrnir.
Delivering Antler also has the upgraded Beast Cavalry transformation effects which include Atk+2, Atk/Def penalties on foe based on distance travelled, and 30% damage reduction on foe's first attack.
Delivering Antler is a great support/offense hybrid weapon, providing mass visible stat bonuses to Winter Eikþyrnir and his allies while also creating a huge swing in Atk/Def between him and his foe in combat.

Winter Eikþyrnir takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Weak to Beast Effective Weapons
Winter Eikþyrnir takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

"This build maximizes Eikþyrnir's Atk and Def stats to land heavy damage with Ignis pre-charged through Momentum." Can u explain if this us accurat?. I really want to build this as my 1st +10 beast, but it doesn't seem to add up. C skill gives -1 when special CD is at max, & B skill can only give -2 at most. Ignis is 4CD & there's no slaying on the weapon. So, how does it ore charge ignis? I don't have access to sturdy beast, so i may use the mythic eik special,/bonfire.
