When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Summer Freyr are+Atk and -Spd. A +Atk IV will effectively raise this units' ability to deal damage. His Spd is not important as it is very unreliable. Additionally, Raydream Horn can guarantee him follow-up attacks so forcing Spd into his kit is not needed at all. With all that said, Spd is the ideal bane for Freyr.
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Summer Freyr to 10. His Atk levels combined with the guaranteed follow-up attack from Raydream Horn that is quite easy to trigger, will allow him to attain a decent level of offensive prowess.
If you prefer a full on tank Freyr, you can also go for +Res or +Def stats depending on your needs.

This build capitalizes off Raydream Horn's various stat swings and guaranteed follow-up attack to activate Heavy Blade and defeat foes in one round of combat with a Bonfire activation on Freyr's follow-up attack. Freyr's Atk and Def stats are boosted through his weapon's effects, Atk/Def Catch 4, A/D Near Trace 3, and Atk/Def Menace. After defeating a foe, he can utilize the Canto effect of A/D Near Trace 3 to retreat to safety.

This build takes full advantage of Raydream Horn's guaranteed follow-up and various effects that swing Atk values into Freyr's favor to activate Heavy Blade and trigger Galeforce after one round of combat. Freyr can then use that extra action to attack another unit, then retreat to safety with the Canto effect provided by A/D Near Trace 3. Def/Res Catch 4 keeps his overall bulk high and Panic Smoke ensures that Def/Res Catch is active at all times.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Summer Freyr is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Raydream Horn and Atk/Def Catch 4's buffs in action!
Summer Freyr's weapon grants him half of the Null Follow-Up 3 skill.
If he initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, he grants himself Atk+6 and inflicts Atk-6 on his opponent, and also makes a guaranteed follow-up attack. Additionally, if he's transformed, he will prevent them from making a follow-up attack.
Freyr comes with Def/Res Catch 4, which will grant him bonuses to his Def and Res if his opponent has full HP or if they have【Penalty】active on them.
This pairs well with his weapon, as Raydream Horn prevents enemy units from making follow-up attacks.
Freyr takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir, and even one blow from this type of weapon is sure to deal lots of damage to her.
He also takes lots of damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Due to Freyr not having any Distant Counter in his kit, he can be taken down or his HP chipped away with units with brave weapons such as Ninja Lyn or Reinhardt.
He can also be brought down by those who take advantage of Windsweep 3 like Summer Byleth (F) or any other versions of both Byleth (F) and Byleth (M).
The Byleths also have their Special, Ruptured Sky, which will blast through Freyr's defenses.
Be careful when facing such units and try to defeat them in the player phase as much as possible.

Freyr can be used to inherit Def/Res Catch 4 or Lull Atk/Def 3.
If you are able to inherit Lull Atk/Def 3 from another unit, you can get both skills from Freyr! However, Freyr is a powerful hero on her own so please think carefully before foddering him off!
Summer Freyr is a limited time Hero who can be pulled from a Special Heroes Summoning Event. They do not appear in regular summons.
Note: Not currently a featured hero in any Summon events.
