What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Has damage reduction if she has more Spd than the enemy unit ・Will nullify effects that prevent her from doing follow-up attacks when she's transformed ・Will inflict debuffs on her target and prevent them from making a follow-up attack ・Grants buffs to herself and debuffs to her target the more bonuses they have |
Might: 14 Range: 1 Grants Spd+3. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat, and also, if unit's Spd > foe's Spd, grants damage reduction by percentage = difference between stats x 4 (excluding Rokkr Specials). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25% while transformed, neutralizes effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat. If transformed, grants Atk+2 and if unit initiates combat, inflicts Atk/Def-4 on foe during combat and foe cannot make a follow-up attack. |
Cooldown Count = 2 Boosts damage dealt by 50%. |
If unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd +7 during combat. |
If unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+2 to unit and inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-2 on foe during combat, and also if foe has bonuses, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat = current bonus on each of foe's stats. Calculates each stat bonus independently. |

Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

HP (16) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Atk (9) | ★★★★☆ | |
Spd (13) | ★★★★★ | |
Def (6) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Res (5) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Summer Freyja are +Spd and -HP. A +Spd IV puts her at a blistering 50 Spd, which gives her tremendous doubling potential and protection from doubles. It also synergizes with the Spd-based damage reduction from her Brightmare Horn, giving her better durability overall. Due to the aformentioned damage reduction, she can safely choose HP as a bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV if merging Summer Freyja to +10. This is for the same reasons as above; having a +IV in Spd grants more doubling potential as well as damage reduction.

This build maximizes Freyja's offensive stats to quickly eliminate enemies in one round of combat. Brightmare Horn provides Spd-based damage reduction and also negates follow-up prevention, which allows Freyja to focus on winning Spd checks to both maximize her damage reduction and double her foes. The dual Atk/Spd Solo skills aid her in her offenses, while Binding Necklace ensures that buffs granted to her enemies are instead transferred to Freyja.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Summer Freyja is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Brightmare Horn and Binding Necklace's buffs in action!
Freyja's weapon is loaded with extremely powerful effects.
She will reduce the damage she takes if her Spd is higher than her opponent's as well as grant herself Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 if her HP is ≥ 25%.
Due to her being a beast unit, if she transforms, she gains additional effects to her weapon. In this case, she will inflict Atk/Def-4 to her opponent and will prevent them from making a follow-up attack, as well as neutralizing effects that prevent her from making a follow-up attack.
This is basically half of the Null Follow-Up 3 skill and is extremely powerful due to the nature of her entire kit.
Like her base self, Summer Freyja comes with Binding Necklace!
If Freyja is not adjacent to an ally, the following effects are activated during combat:
This creates a huge stat gap between Freyja and her foe which allows her to claim the upperhand and crush her opponents! Make sure to pit her against enemy units that gain lots of bonuses to maximize the use of this skill.
Summer Freyja comes with Fatal Smoke 3, which prevents enemy units from healing. This is a powerful counter to units with sustain, such as Fallen Edelgard.
Unlike Mythic Freyja's Nightmare Horn, Brightmare Horn does not have a Distant Counter effect built in! This takes away from her performance as an enemy phase unit.
If a foe is as fast or faster than Summer Freyja, the damage reduction effects of Brightmare Horn will not work. Watch out for units like Ninja Zihark or even an Eliwood with high investment!
Her defensive stats are quite low sitting at 25, 20 for Def & Res respectively. She will be easily taken out by fast offensive units.
Freyja takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir, and even one blow from this type of weapon is sure to deal lots of damage to her.
She also takes lots of damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Mirabilis | Masquerade Sigurd | Reinhardt | Legendary Azura |
Peony | Kaden | Reyson | Leanne |
Her fellow dream fairies and Azura both provide refresher skills and straight up buffs! This allows Freyja not only to hit more, but have more weight behind her hits. They might not match Freyja's 3 space movement, but the nature of flying movement more than makes up for it.
The ever reliable Reinhardt can be a great partner of Freyja in the frontline. He can also cover the magic department of the offense and assist Summer Freyja in quickly clearing the map of opponents together with their 3 movement.
Magic is everything! -Reinhardt, Thunder's Fist
Reyson, Kaden and Leanne are some great examples of beast supports. Reyson and Leanne dishes out amazing heals and refreshes on flying movement so they can definitely keep up with the goat Freyja. Kaden on the other hand, dishes out some mad buffs that can make Summer Freyja's laser beam extra scary!
In addition to this, by fielding an all-beast or a beast/dragon team, Reyson and Leanne will always be transformed and have 3 movement. The additional movement buff allows them to match Summer Freyja's 3 movement and reliably refresh her turn!
Masquerade Sigurd is a cavalry mage who can match Summer Freyja's 3 movement and refresh her turn! As the only cavalry refresher in the game (as of July, 2021), Masquerade Sigurd is an amazing support unit for Summer Freyja should you choose not to field a beast team.
Karla | Byleth (F) | Byleth (M) | Summer Byleth (F) |
Micaiah | Legendary Byleth (M) | Legendary Claude | Young Innes |
Byleth (F), Byleth (M), Summer Byleth (F), and Legendary Byleth (M) are all direct counters to Summer Freyja if properly built. All of them have a Null Follow-Up effect on their weapons which disables the follow-up negation effect on Brightmare Horn, and if given Windsweep 3 on their B slots, are able to attack Summer Freyja without fear of retaliation!
In addition to this, all of the Byleths have special skills that are great against beast foes; namely Ruptured Sky and Sublime Heaven! These specials have a very short cooldown of 2 and deal extra damage against beast foes like Summer Freyja. Sublime Heaven in particular is extra nasty, disabling Summer Freyja's damage reduction effect on her Brightmare Horn! Be very careful with your positioning when facing any variant of Byleth.
High Spd units like Karla reduce, if not outright negate, Summer Freyja's built-in damage reduction effect on her Brightmare Horn. Karla in particular also has a Null Follow-Up effect on her weapon's special refine, which also turns off Summer Freyja's follow-up negation!
Legendary Claude also has a Null Follow-Up effect on his weapon, Failnaught. He also has an exclusive B skill, Fallen Star, which if triggered, reduces the damage dealt to Claude by 80% and applies a Gravity effect on his foes. Summer Freyja relies on quickly eliminating her opponents, and the damage reduction effect will prevent her from doing just that. The Gravity effect also reduces Summer Freyja's movement from 3 to 1, leaving her vulnerable to approaching enemies.
As a bow unit, Legendary Claude can also be given the special skill Deadeye through skill inheritance. Deadeye shuts down damage reduction effects and doubles damage dealt, and with Summer Freyja's low defenses, she will be brought down rather easily.
Young Innes can negate damage reduction whenever he triggers his special thanks to his weapon, Bow of Frelia. Summer Freyja relies on her damage reduction to survive enemy engagements; without it, she will lose a considerable amount of bulk with her subpar defensive stats. Ensure that Young Innes will not trigger his special skill when approaching him with Summer Freyja.
Micaiah and her other variants in the game such as Bridal Micaiah and Brave Micaiah all possess high Atk stats and wield cavalry-effective tomes. With her effective damage and high Atk, she can eliminate Summer Freyja quickly, even through her damage reduction!
All the Micaiah variants have low Def, however. Ensure you are fighting them in player phase and eliminate them before they can land one hit on Summer Freyja.

Freyja can be used to inherit Atk/Spd Solo 4 or Fatal Smoke 3.
If you are able to inherit Atk/Spd Solo 3 from another unit, you can get both skills from Freyja! However, Freyja is a powerful hero on her own so please think carefully before foddering her off!
Summer Freyja is a limited time Hero who can be pulled from a Special Heroes Summoning Event. They do not appear in regular summons.
Note: Not currently a featured hero in any Summon events.

Sometimes is scary think she gonna die but she lives with a bit of life, i guess she is ok, not OMFG i need this. But if you like her but i guess because of this skin you will like other things is as i say its ok good damage when alone dont do well with heavys but when catches mages and archers (preferencialy that dont fight back in close range). The defenses are low but the B skill helps but not the necessary sometimes and i will give the seal of +vel/def for she not to be so squish
