Might: 14 Range: 1
Grants Spd+3. Effective against cavalry foes. After combat, if unit's HP ≤ 75%, grants Special cooldown count-2. Effect:【Beast (Cavalry)】
【Beast (Cavalry)】 At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2, and if unit initiates combat, inflicts Atk/Def-4 on foe during combat and foe cannot make a follow-up attack.

Cooldown Count = 5
If unit initiates combat, grants unit another action after combat. (Once per turn. )

If unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd +6 during combat.

Enables unit whose own HP ≤ 50% to warp adjacent to any ally.

At start of odd-numbered turns, grants Spd +6 to unit and adjacent allies for 1 turn. (Bonus granted to unit even if no allies are adjacent. )

Yarne Best IVs

Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (18) HP Superbane ★★☆☆☆
Atk (23) No Attack IV ★★★★☆
Spd (10) No Spd IV ★★★★★
Def (8) No Def IV ★★★☆☆
Res (4) No Res IV ★☆☆☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Spd/-Res

The best IVs for Yarne are +Spd and -Res. A higher Spd stat allows Yarne to get a ton of follow-up attacks on his foes. It also protects him from some follow-up attacks. His Res is of less importance and he is not really built to tank magic damage so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Yarne to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. At this point, he will reach a fair 43 Spd. If combined with his A and C skills, he reaches a monstrous 55 Spd. 55 Spd is enough to nail follow-up attacks on most units in the game.

Special Skill IconGaleforce

How to Use, Explanation

This build uses the recoil from Atk/Spd Push 4 to activate Desperation and allow consecutive attacks for future engagements. Make sure to keep the unit alive after the first combat since they will be in exploitable HP ranges!

Budget Yarne

Assist Skill IconDraw Back
Special Skill IconGaleforce
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

A budget build for Yarne that allows him to score a good amount of follow-up attacks on foes. Thanks to his weapon, Galeforce, and Escape Route 3, he can be extremely mobile. He can actually use the Galeforce proc to escape with his B skill after taking out a foe. This is good to keep in mind as he does not specialize in tanking attacks in the enemy phase.

Yarne Best Weapon Refine

Effect of Yarne's Refined Weapon

Exclusive Weapon Effect from Refining (Special Effect Type)
SP: 400
Might: 14 Range: 1 HP: 3
Grants Spd+3. Effective against cavalry foes. If unit is not adjacent to an ally or unit's HP ≤ 90% at start of combat, grants Atk/Spd+5 to unit during combat. After combat, if unit's HP ≤ 90%, grants Special cooldown count-2. At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 to unit, inflicts Atk/Def-X on foe during combat (X = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat + 3; max 6), and also, if X ≥ 5, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 30% during combat.
At start of combat, if foe's HP ≥ 50%, grants Atk/Spd+5 to unit during combat, deals damage = 10% of unit's Spd (including when dealing damage with a Special triggered before combat), and also, if unit transforms, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack.
Arena Medal:500 Divine Dew:200

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Bunny Fang

Refined Bunny Fang adds Atk/Spd bonuses during combat, increases the HP threshold for the Pulse effect to ≤ 90%, true damage equal to 10% of Yarne's Spd, and a guaranteed follow-up attack if he's transformed.

Beast weapon refines can be hit or miss, but this one is definitely worth refining. Using Yarne becomes much easier, especially with the increased HP threshold. Equipping recoil skills like Atk/Spd Push 4 and Fury 3 will be enough to allow him to meet the HP check.

Yarne is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Yarne Strengths

Bunny Fang gives way for rapid Galeforce activation

Bunny Fang grants -2 special cooldown count reduction if he exits combat with atleast 75% HP or less. This allows him to activate Galeforce in quick intervals. You can choose to initiate twice with a Galeforce activation or utilize Yarne's great mobility to exit the danger zone.

The skills of the enemy units and conditions in Resonant Battles make it hard for units to activate Galeforce. Yarne is an exception to this because of the effects of Bunny Fang and his high Spd. Being able to activate Galeforce in Resonant Battles is a HUGE advantage. If your goal is scoring high in this game mode, consider pulling for Yarne!

Team gets a Spd boost on Odd numbered turns

Yarne's default C skill Odd Spd Wave will grant Yarne and adjacent allies Spd +6 on odd-numbered turns. This C skill actually gives the bonus to Yarne and not just his allies. When combined with Atk/Spd Solo 3, he gains a whopping +12 Spd bonus on odd-numbered turns

Bunny Fang is strong against cavalry foes

Yarne's weapon, Bunny Fang, is strong against cavalry foes. This makes him a great match-up against Reinhardt and Veronica, two very powerful units that are common in Aether Raids! His cavalry movement also helps in taking down foes in Aether Raids as 3-space movement allows him to avoid landing on traps and other obstacles!

Yarne Weaknesses

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Yarne takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Weak to Beast Effective Weapons

He also takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
