When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Res / -Def

The best IVs for Laurent are +Res and -Def. Lacking an exclusive weapon makes Laurent heavily reliant on his stats to perform in battle. Res is his best stat, and he should be taking advantage of it by only fighting enemies that deal magic damage.

Doing this makes Laurent's Def not as important, and is a good bane to take as it will not be relevant most of the time. If an enemy attacks Laurent's Def stat, he will fall in combat most of the time anyway.

+Res for a +10 merge

We recommend +Res when merging Laurent to +10 for similar reasons above.

Laurent is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Laurent Strengths

Hvítrdeer+ creates a stat swing and slows down foe's Special charges

Definitely not a Patronus charm.

Laurent's inheritable Hvítrdeer+ tome grants him Atk+5 while also inflicting Atk-5 onto his foe during combat.

It also slows down his foe's Special cooldown charges during combat, indirectly increasing Laurent's survivability.

This tome, while nothing special, works well when used properly.

Lack of Unique Skills

Laurent suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.

High Res infantry mages are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Laurent replaceable by better units.

Low Physical Bulk

Laurent's 39 base HP and 24 base Def leave him vulnerable to defeat from any half-decent physical attacker.

Keep him away from physical damage dealers to ensure his survival.
