What Kind of Character Are They? | ・A Light-Type Mythic Hero ・Exclusive weapon grants Distant Counter and damage reduction ・Creates a large gap of stats between Freyja and her foe through buffs and debuffs |
Might: 14 Range: 1 Grants Spd+3. Grants Distant Counter. If unit's Spd > foe's Spd, reduces damage from attacks during combat and from AoE Specials (excluding Røkkr AoEs) by percentage = difference between stats x 4 (max 40%). At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2, and if unit initiates combat, inflicts Atk/Def-4 on foe during combat and disables foe follow-ups. |
Cooldown Count = 3 Treats foe's Def/Res as if reduced by 50% during combat. |
If unit is not adjacent to an ally, grants Atk/Spd +7 during combat. |
Removes the condition to transform. If a skill compares unit's Spd to a foe's or ally's Spd, treats unit's Spd as if granted +7. If foe initiates combat or number of allies adjacent to unit ≤ 1, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+3 to unit, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-3 on foe, and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat, and also, if foe has bonuses, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res and inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Spd/Def/Res during combat = current bonus on each of foe's stats. Calculates each stat bonus independently. |
After combat, inflicts Spd-7 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions, and grants Spd+6 and 【Dodge】 to unit for 1 turn. |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |
---|---|---|
HP (16) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Atk (24) | ★★★★☆ | |
Spd (14) | ★★★★★ | |
Def (5) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Res (7) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Freyja are +Spd and -Res. Spd is a very important stat for Freyja as it allows her to reduce the damage she takes not only from decreasing the amount of follow-up attacks she takes, but also through the effects of Nightmare Horn. Additionally, and arguably more importantly, it allows her to increase the follow-up attacks she can score Her Res is of less importance and thus safe to be taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Freyja to 10. This is for the same reasons as above. With this IV, she can reach 51 Spd at max merges. At that level, she can score lots of follow-up attacks and reduce lots of damage using her skills. If you prefer relying on skills to increase Freyja's Spd, you can go for a +Atk IV instead.

Exclusive Weapon Effect from Refining (Special Effect Type) | |

SP: 400 | |
Might: 14 Range: 1 HP: 3 Grants Spd+3. Unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range. At start of combat, if foe's HP ≥ 50%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat. If unit's Spd > foe's Spd, reduces damage from attacks during combat and from area-of-effect Specials (excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials) by percentage = difference between stats × 4 (max 40%). At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 to unit, inflicts Atk/Def-X on foe during combat (X = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat + 3; max 6), and also, if X ≥ 5, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 30% during combat. Enables【Canto (Rem. +1)】. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit and neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat. :500 :200 |
|
Refined Nightmare Horn grants 【Canto (Rem. +1)】, an accelerated Special trigger, bonus stats, and a Null Follow-Up effect.
These effects turn Freyja into a strong offensive unit that can defeat her foes and then retreat to safety with ease.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Freyja is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Freyja is a Mythic Hero who will also give you a Light Blessing when summoned. During Light Season, Freyja's allies who also have a Light Blessing will receive a HP+5 and Atk+33 to their stats, increasing the party's usability.
Freyja takes less damage compared to Anna thanks to Nightmare Horn
Nightmare Horn reduces damage depending on how much faster Freyja is compared to her foe. This damage reduction works for both in-combat damage, and AoE special attacks. This makes the minor Spd boost from this weapon skill very helpful.
When refined, Nightmare Horn grants 【Canto (Rem. +1)】, an accelerated Special trigger, bonus stats, and a Null Follow-Up effect, making Freyja even stronger and allows her to retreat to safety after her attack.
Freyja's Remix skill Binding Necklace+ is a significant upgrade over her older skill.
Binding Necklace+ removes the condition to transform, allowing Freyja access to her beast form immediately.
It also grants Freyja Atk/Spd/Def/Res+3, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-3 onto her foe, neutralizes effects that slow down Freyja's Special charges, and steals her foe's visible bonuses by applying an equal penalty to them and granting an equal bonus to herself during combat.
Binding Necklace+ also grants a Phantom Spd effect, treating her Spd as if granted +7 for any skills which require a Spd check, such as 【Dodge】 from her C skill Spd Smoke 4.
Freyja is an excellent offensive unit, but she has great competition as a Light type Mythic hero in Mila and Peony. Unlike the both of them, Freyja is an offensive main which means that teams should be built around her for her to shine. Mila and Peony are capable of supporting and that allows them to fit in many teams.
Unless you plan to build around Freyja, she might not be worth pulling for given the fact that all players have access to a free Peony.
This is all under the context of Aether Raids. She is an excellent unit outside Aether Raids, but as a Light type Mythic hero, she is a tiny bit outshined
If a foe is as fast or faster than Freyja, the damage reduction effects of Nightmare Horn will not work. If the foe is of the red attribute, they will enjoy a damage boost against Freyja's green attribute so she will take lots of damage from these units. Watch out for units like Ninja Zihark or even an Eliwood with high investment!
Freyja takes 1.5x damage from beast-effective weapons like Brave Eliwood's Nini's Ice Lance or Picnic Flora's Sæhrímnir, and even one blow from this type of weapon is sure to deal lots of damage to her.
She also takes lots of damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
Mirabilis | Reinhardt | Legendary Azura | Peony |
Kaden | Reyson | Leanne | Flayn |
Her fellow dream fairies and the goddess Azura both provide refresher skills and straight up buffs! This allows Freyja not only to hit more, but have more weight behind her hits. They might not match Freyja's 3 space movement, but the nature of flying movement more than makes up for it especially in some Aether Raids maps. If you use the Galeforce build we have listed, then Freyja has full permssion to wreck the field if she has solid refresher supports to back her up!
The ever reliable Reinhardt can be a great partner of Freyja in the frontline. He can not only cover over red units that Freyja is weak to, but he can also cover the magic department of the offense.
Magic is everything! -Reinhardt, Thunder's Fist
Reyson, Kaden and Leanne are some great examples of beast supports. Reyson and Leanne dishes out amazing heals and refreshes on flying movement so they can definitely keep up with the goddess Freyja. Kaden on the other hand, dishes out some mad buffs that can make Freyja's laser beam extra scary!
Flayn is a recently released hero who is a prodigy in the support department! Her Caduceus Staff provides Freyja with damage reduction, and Rescue+ functions both as a heal and a movement-assist. Her C skill can provide Freyja with more movement as if her 3 space movement is not enough!
Eliwood | Raigh | Picnic Flora | Sothis |
Young Caeda | Summer Byleth (F) | Brave Lysithea | Ninja Zihark |
Raigh and Picnic Flora possesses weapons that are strong against not only Freyja's beast and cavalry status, but her color attribute as well. If you can get to Raigh first, he would not be very problem as he cannot counterattack and he is fairly squishy. At most times, he would not be able to survive 2 hits from Freyja. Picnic Flora on the other hand, should be left to other units as she is very bulky.
These two are simply solid sword units that can deal heavy damage to Freyja. Watch out for them! As of the current meta (December 2020), high-investment Eliwood builds are rampant in Aether Raids! Be careful and only engage when the situation and factors are ideal.
These units possess not only the Atk stat to hurt Freyja, but they also have huge Spd stats or tools to lower Freyja's Spd! As her defensive stats are not the best, she heavily relies on her Spd and Nightmare Horn's damage reduction effects for her defense. This allows these units to bypass Freyja's major defense mechanism and easily take her out.

Freyja can be used to inherit Pulse Smoke 3 or Atk/Spd Solo 4. If you are able to inherit Atk/Spd Solo 3 from another unit, you can get both skills from Freyja! However, Freyja is a powerful Mythic hero whom can lead your team in Aether Raids. Please think carefully before fodderring her off!
Freyja is a limited time Hero who can be pulled from a Mythic Hero Summoning event. They do not appear in regular summons.
Note: Not currently a featured hero in any Summon events.
