We believe the most metagame defining heroes released this month are Summer Fjorm, Diamant, and Freyr.
Summer Fjorm is arguably the best speedy sword infantry unit released to this date with her multitude of effects on her base kit. Her Ice-Bound Brand disables effects that prevent her follow-ups if facing a ranged foe, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5, inflicts an Atk/Spd penalty onto her foe equal to 20% of Summer Fjorm's Spd at start of combat, applies a Guard effect onto her foe, and reduces incoming damage by 5 whenever her foe's attack triggers her Special.
Summer Fjorm's exclusive Special Frostbite Mirror reduces damage from her foe's attacks by a percentage equal to their range (10% for melee foes and 30% for ranged foes) and then reflects the damage reduced back onto the foe during Summer Fjorm's next attack and has a built-in Distant Counter effect.
Diamant is a new unit with a good stat line and a busted weapon in Fair-Fight Blade. This weapon clearly isn't fair as it is loaded with multiple top tier effects, with the most important ones being the true damage and true damage reduction equal to 25% of Diamant's Def, neutralization of percentage-based non-Special damage reduction, and the Spd check threshold increase for follow-up attacks.
Only the truly speedy units with Spd-boosting skills will be able to make a follow-up attack against Diamant, and even then, he is very likely to survive the first hit and defeat his foe on the counterattack with his true damage boost and a meaty Bonfire using his high Def stat.
Finally, Freyr is how IS decides to counter Elimine's Staff of the Saint with his exclusive C skill Dream Deliverer neutralizing all 【Penalty】 effects on himself and all allies within 2 spaces of Freyr at the start of each player phase and enemy phase.
Freyr is also a very bulky unit with two damage reduction effects on his Dream Horn and a stat spread skewed towards defensive stats. His role as a support unit is safe with his high bulk protecting him from getting knocked out easily.

It is currently a Wind Season month and these are the heroes we expect to see the most in Arena aside from the usual suspects like Valentine's Chrom and other metagame relevant duo heroes.
Legendary Veronica is the Legendary hero we most expect to see in Arena due to the lack of a new Legendary hero to pre-set a bonus Legendary hero for the full month of August. Legendary Veronica was present in this year's A Hero Rises banner, greatly increasing her availability and making her more common than the usual Legendary hero.
Legendary Veronica is a very powerful offensive hero with her Enclosing Dark neutralizing effects that prevent Veronica's follow-ups and potentially preventing her foe's counterattacks, while Enclosure is a 1-cooldown Special with a built-in Tempo effect, essentially guaranteeing its trigger in combat.
Legendary Yuri is the other Wind Legendary hero we most expect to face in Arena with his Foul Play providing much-needed mobility in a game mode where mobility is discouraged due to the scoring system.
Legendary Yuri has an above average weapon in Abyssal Blade which gets the job done despite its effects being more common among new heroes.
Summer Fjorm is the premiere Godsword unit available due to her kit providing effects that aren't easily available for other sword infantry units. Summer Fjorm's best skill is her exclusive Special, Frostbite Mirror, which reduces damage from her foe's attacks by a percentage equal to their range (10% for melee foes and 30% for ranged foes) and then reflects the damage reduced back onto the foe during Summer Fjorm's next attack and has a built-in Distant Counter effect.
Diamant is also a threatening unit to face, especially during his bonus weeks providing extra stats. Fair-Fight Blade is loaded with multiple meta defining effects, with the most important ones being the true damage and true damage reduction equal to 25% of Diamant's Def, neutralization of percentage-based non-Special damage reduction, and the Spd check threshold increase for follow-up attacks.
Legendary Veronica is incredibly frail due to her stat line and kit being skewed towards her offenses. Bait her into approaching your team, and then defeat her during player phase.
Legendary Yuri's AI will always use Foul Play if it can remove an ally from danger. Abuse this to prevent both him and one ally from attacking, while you defeat the other two foes. Clean up afterwards with a numbers advantage.
Summer Fjorm is a traditional Godsword unit with high Spd. Use a defensive Blue tank unit to soak her attacks and waste her turn.
Diamant can be a tough unit to crack, but he has clear weaknesses in facing units that can prevent his counterattacks or units that can attack consecutively. Diamants without a Distant Counter effect can be attacked safely by ranged units and then kited around by retreating to safety using movement skills or Canto effects.
Invested Diamants will be equipped with a Distant Counter effect, which leaves sweep effects such as Staff units with a Dazzling Staff effect as his main weakness. Legendary Veronica is a great option to defeat Diamant due to her status as a Legendary hero along with Enclosing Dark preventing Diamant's counterattacks and attacking his weaker Res stat.

The Aether Raids meta has shaken up a lot with the addition of Freyr. Dream Deliverer's ability to cleanse all 【Penalty】 effects on Freyr himself and nearby allies, notably 【False Start】, has opened the door for Catria Balls to emerge as the top defense map once again.
Freyr also provides valuable support in Chaos season, cleansing off 【Undefended】 and 【Feud】 and allowing Savior strategies to be used against Embla.
Freyr has breathed new life back into defenses which were neutered by Elimine's Staff of the Saint, opening the door for their return.
Freyr's main role is to provide support through Dream Deliverer's ability to cleanse all 【Penalty】 effects onto himself and nearby allies. Key allies include Bridal Catria, Winter Cordelia, and heavy nuker units to team up with the aforementioned two units.
Aside from Dream Deliverer, Freyr also functions as a decent offensive unit with high bulk. Dream Horn has two sources of damage reduction, protecting Freyr and allowing him to survive more often to provide further support in the later turns. Melee beast cavalry units aren't a good offensive archetype, but offense isn't the reason why Freyr should be fielded in teams. His allies will provide the firepower instead.
Embla still warps Light/Dark season by being the Mythic to prepare multiple teams for.
Her exclusive C skill Severance inflicts 【Undefended】 and 【Feud】 on all foes within 3 columns or 3 rows centered on Embla at the start of the turn, shutting off Savior skills and rendering supports useless.
Players have begun fielding two Emblas, with one in column 2 and the other in column 5. This setup inflicts 【Undefended】 and 【Feud】 onto all six columns, effectively shutting down Save balls from the start.
Cavlines have been the main teammates of an Embla composition, with their extended range allowing instant offense on turn one. With the Emblas shutting off support and Savior, the Cavalry units have no trouble picking off the weaker members of raiding parties.
Bridal Catria and Winter Cordelia have similar roles on their teams: providing a double-attack buff to their allies. The main differences between the two, aside from their kits, are:
While Bridal Catria and Winter Cordelia are above average attackers themselves, granting a double attack to heavy nukers such as Brave Lysithea or Valentine's Chrom allows them to rip holes through most units, including tank units.
Freyr himself isn't a threatening unit. Rather, he enables threatening strategies that require specific setup to overcome.
Against Catria Ball or Cordelia Ball, the most common team compositions that Freyr enables, the best strategy is to break their formation by attacking once with a unit that can survive, then retreat to safety to engage the enemy AI.
The AI will then make their actions, hopefully separating Bridal Catria (or Winter Cordelia) from their Savior allies. If successful, you can then snipe the Harmonic flier down to severely reduce the enemy team's offensive firepower.
You can also rely on Bolt Tower to wear down the Savior units and use a Galeforce strategy to clear most of the enemy team in one turn while they're weakened. Medeus is a Dark mythic and thus should not be present alongside Freyr on the same team.
Embla shuts down Savior balls, and is often fielded on a Cavline team. These teams have powerful offensive options, but they all lack bulk.
Ensure you field an offensive raiding party in Light season such as Galeforce or Hit and Run. Using these teams, you can pick off most of the enemy units on turn one and then either retreat or unit block the remaining enemies in order to collect Aether resources on future turns.
Summer Edelgard is an amazing unit to field against Embla Cavlines, with her ability to act up to three times in one turn with Raging Storm and Galeforce. Equip self-recoil skills like Fury on her A and Sacred Seal slots, and bring a handful of units that can act multiple times in one turn with Wings of Mercy 3 equipped in order to sweep the map and keep your units safe.
Alternatively, a Vantage strategy can be fielded against these teams in order to prevent knockouts on any of your raiding party units.
Use a unit with high Atk, equip Vantage 3 or similar skills onto them, and move them forward. If using Vantage, ensure that they are under the HP threshold and that none of the enemy units can bypass it through the use of Hardy Bearing or sweep effects.
Finally, consider bringing an Omnitank unit and move them forward into the line of fire. This unit should be incredibly self-sufficient and capable of withstanding multiple attacks from different foes.
Bridal Catria and Winter Cordelia enable a similar strategy of granting double attacks to nearby allies. If Freyr isn't present on the enemy team, bring Elimine to apply 【False Start】 to these units and neuter them completely.
If Freyr is present, apply the strategies mentioned above on the Freyr section.
