When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Alcryst are +Spd and -Res. Boosting Spd improves upon Alcryst's ability to create follow-up attacks with the help of Arcane Darkbow's neutralization effects. Should Alcryst be able to create a follow-up attack, he will attack consecutively as well, potentially knocking out his opponents.
As a bow unit, enemies that may potentially survive two hits from Arcane Darkbow are more often than not the bulky Savior armors with high Def. As such, taking Res as a bane instead of Def is the best option, since most physically bulky Savior armors are physical damage dealers with Distant Counter effects.
We recommend +Spd when merging Alcryst up to +10 to maximize his ability to create follow-up attacks.

Alcryst is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Alcryst's inheritable Arcane weapon Arcane Darkbow grants an accelerated Special trigger, Atk/Spd+6 in combat, neutralizes penalties applied to Alcryst, neutralizes effects that prevent his follow-up attacks, and grants a Desperation effect.
This weapon provides multiple offensive effects, allowing Alcryst to quickly dish out damage against his foes and potentially knock them out without fear of retaliation.
Alcryst also comes with Get Behind Me!, an exclusive B skill. This skill neutralizes effects that slow down Alcryst's Special charges, inflicts Spd/Def-5 onto his foe and applies an extra Def penalty equal to 30% of his foe's Def at the start of combat.
These effects allow Alcryst to punch through tank units with high Def and ensures that he triggers his Special during combat.
