What Kind of Character Are They? ・Weapon skill grants bonus stats, true damage and true damage reduction based on Def, neutralizes non-Special percentage damage reduction effects, neutralizes guaranteed follow-up attacks, increases the Spd threshold for follow-up attacks, and either grants a Special cooldown charge pre-combat or neutralizes effects that slow down unit's Special charges and restores HP if unit triggers an offensive Special.

Diamant Skills at 5★

Might: 16 Range: 1
Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, deals damage = 25% of unit's Def and reduces damage from foe's attacks by 25% of unit's Def (excluding area-of-effect Specials), neutralizes "reduces damage by X%" effects from unit's and foe's non-Special skills (excluding area-of-effect Specials), neutralizes effects that guarantee unit's and foe's follow-up attacks, and increases the Spd difference necessary for unit or foe to make a follow-up attack by 20 during combat (Spd must be ≥ 25 to make a follow-up attack; stacks with similar skills). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25% and unit initiates combat, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before unit's first attack during combat. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25% and foe initiates combat, neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat, and also, if unit deals damage to foe using a Special during combat, restores 10 HP to unit (triggers even if 0 damage is dealt).

Cooldown Count = 3
Boosts damage dealt by 50% of unit’s Def.

If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Def+7 to unit during combat, and also, if unit's Special is ready or unit's Special triggered before or during this combat, deals +5 damage during combat (except when dealing damage with area-of-effect Specials) and when unit deals damage during combat, restores 7 HP to unit. (Triggers even if 0 damage is dealt.)

Foes with Range = 1 cannot move through spaces adjacent to unit, and foes with Range = 2 cannot move through spaces within 2 spaces of unit. (Does not affect foes with Pass skills.) Inflicts Atk/Spd-4 on foe during combat. Restores 7 HP to unit after combat.

At start of turn, if Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1. After combat, if Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1.

Diamant Best IVs

Recommended IVs

Stat Superboon/Superbane IV Recommendation
HP (17) Normal HP ★★★☆☆
Atk (16) Attack Boon ★★★★★
Spd (6) Spd Boon ★★★☆☆
Def (10) Def Bane ★★★★★
Res (6) No Res IV ★★☆☆☆

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws

See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk / -Res

The best IVs for Diamant are +Atk and -Res. Due to Fair-Fight Blade's effect which increases the threshold of Spd checks by 20, Diamant can rely on his middling Spd to avoid follow-up attacks. Thus, boosting Atk yields better results.

Diamant's Res is abysmal at only base 21 and is a safe bane to take.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend +Atk when merging Diamant up to +10 to maximize his damage output.

Diamant Best Builds

Distant Reversal Diamant

HOT
Special Skill IconBonfire
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This build allows Diamant to retaliate against ranged foes. Distant Reversal boosts his Def to help improve his true damage reduction effect to tank multiple attacks more reliably. Mystic Boost 3 provides sustain as well as neutralizing Wrathful Staff effects to combat Diamant's inability to retaliate against foes with Sweep effects such as Staff units.

General Use / Budget Diamant

Special Skill IconBonfire

Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This is a budget build using Diamant's base kit. It is already good enough to provide frontline power to any team. Simply add on an Atk/Def boosting Sacred Seal and an assist and he's good to go.

Diamant is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Diamant Strengths

Fair-Fight Blade has a lot of effects

Diamant Attack Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

Diamant's exclusive weapon Fair-Fight Blade is anything but fair with the sheer number of effects it has.

Below is a summary of these effects:

  • Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1).
  • Grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to Diamant
  • Grants true damage equal to 25% of Diamant's Def
  • Grants true damage reduction from foe's attacks equal to 25% of Diamant's Def
  • Neutralizes both Diamant's and his foe's percentage-based non-Special damage reduction effects (from skills like Spurn)
  • Neutralizes effects that guarantee both Diamant's and his foe's follow-up attacks
  • Increases the Spd check for making a follow-up attack by 20 (Spd must now be ≥ 25 to make a follow-up attack)
  • If Diamant initiates combat, grants Special cooldown count-1 before Diamant's first attack
  • If Diamant's foe initiates combat, neutralizes Guard effects on Diamant
  • If Diamant's foe initiates combat, whenever Diamant deals damage with an offensive Special, restores 10 HP to Diamant

Keep in mind that Diamant also neutralizes his own percentage-based non-Special damage reduction effects and effects that guarantee his own follow-ups, so refrain from equipping skills that provide these effects.

Diamant Weaknesses

Low Res

Diamant's base Res sits at only base 21, leaving him reliant on his true damage reduction effect to protect himself against magic damage.

He should still take a decent chunk of damage from every magic hit. Keep him away from foes that deal magic damage to maximize his combat potential.
