+Spd/-HP

Arthur's recommended IVs are +Spd and -HP. Considering the fact that you will also want to use Arthur against other Green units or Colorless units, a higher Spd stat will increase his chances of a follow-up attack, but also make it harder for an opponent to gain one. HP is a low priority, so it is the ideal bane for Arthur.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a high investment build based around Distant Counter. Thanks to his Emerald Axe, Arthur was already very powerful up against blue foes, but by giving him distant counter and Quick Riposte, he should be able to safely withstand an attack and then take down any blue foe who makes the mistake of attacking him. However, turning him into a blue-counter unit will make him extremely weak to attacks from red units, so make absolute sure to keep him out of their range.

Arthur is a close ranged physical attacker. Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def. Additionally, he has multiple skills that are strong against blue units, including a guaranteed follow-up attack against lance users.

Arthur's Strengths

Extremely powerful against blue foes

Arthur's weapon skill Emerald Axe has the effects of Triangle Adept. Essentially, this makes him very powerful against blue units but very weak to red units. It is important to mind how you use him in battle, but if you can manage to only put him up against foes who that are at a disadvantage, he will rarely, if ever, fall in battle.

Gratned a guaranteed follow-up attack against lance users

In addition to Emerald Axe, the skill Lancebreaker gives Arthur a guaranteed follow-up attack against lance units. These two skills combined make Arthur an exceptional anti-lance unit.

Very weak against red units

Arthur may be very good at dealing with blue units, but he is terrible against red units. Keep him far away from red foes, and let more adept allies take them out to keep Arthur safe.
