There are twelve weapon types in Tower of Fantasy, and each of the weapon types has their own characteristics. You can equip three weapons at a time and switch between them while exploring the open world and engaging in combat.
Types of Weapons | ||
---|---|---|
Bow | Chakram | Dual Blades |
Dual Pistols | EM Blasters | Greatsword |
Long Spear | Maul | Omnium Weapon |
Rifle | Scythe | Shield |
Spear | Stave | Sword |
Weapons are divided into levels in Tower of Fantasy according to their rarity. These levels are R, SR, and SSR or Rare, Super Rare, and Specially Super Rare. SR and SSR weapons can be obtained through gacha pulls.
Special Order Events are Gacha Banners in Tower of Fantasy which give weapons and matrices. Learn more through our guide below!
Special Order Event: Weapon and Matrix Gacha Pull Rates
Weapons can have elemental effects that add extra damage to your attacks when they are fully charged. Each element also has a unique effect that can grant you an advantage against enemies in combat. Use this to your advantage and see which element works best for you!
Element | Fully Charged Weapon Effects |
---|---|
Ice | Freeze the target for 2 seconds and leave it frostbitten for 6 seconds. Breaking the ice shell causes additional 151.00% of ATK damage. Frostbitten target's weapon charge rate is reduced by 50%. |
Fire | Set the target on fire for 8 seconds, causing ongoing 58.00% ATK damage every second. Ignited targets receive 50% efficacy from healing. |
Lightning | Will paralyze targets for 1 second and electrify them for 6 seconds, negating all buffs and dealing 106.00% ATK damage. |
Grevious | After fully charging, will inflict 100.00% ATK damage and make the target grievous for 7 seconds, taking 20% extra damage. |
In addition to a weapon's element, each weapon has a class that determines what role it plays in combat. Equipping two weapons of the same class will activate a Resonance Effect.
Types of Weapon Classes | ||
---|---|---|
DPS | Defense | Support |
Resonance Effect | |
---|---|
Dissonance N/A |
Increases final damage by 5% when no weapon resonance is active. |
Fortitude |
Equip at least 2 defense-type weapons to activate. Increase damage reduction by 25% and shatter by 60%. |
Brute Force |
Equip at least 2 DPS-type weapons to activate. Increase final damage by 10%. |
Blessing |
Equip at least 2 support-type weapons to activate. Increase healing by 100%. |
Types of Attacks | |
---|---|
|
Tap Attack Button | Normal Attacks make a Standard Combo, and is a quick way to deal damage. The downside to Normal Attacks is they don't have much knockback potential. |
---|
Hold Attack Button | Charged Attacks can vary for each weapon. Some weapons may also take longer to charge compared to others, so familiarize each weapon's charged attack and look for the right openings to execute them! |
---|
Bows can aim longer and farther when charged, while hammers can deal damage to a large AoE surrounding your character. When swords are charged, you fling enemies into the air, allowing for aerial attacks.
Jump + Tap Attack Button | Most weapons like the sword and bow can be used even while mid-air. Swords can be used with combos that volley enemies above ground. |
---|
Jump + Hold Attack Button | Charged Aerial Attacks may differ for each weapon. Holding the attack button using the bow while jumping allows you to aim and loose an arrow mid-air. |
---|
Tap Weapon Skill Button | Each Weapon has a unique skill attack. Tap the Weapon Skill Button which is the button second to the right on the lower right corner of the screen. |
---|
Tap the Dodge Button | Dodging at the perfect moment before a monster hits you will trigger Phantasia, which allows you to build up your weapon's charge and also cause enemies to slow down, providing an opening for you to attack them. |
---|
Switch Weapons | When the white Weapon Omnium Gauge is full and blinking surrounding the unequipped weapon (as seen on the bottom right of the screen), it will trigger a special attack with the newly equipped weapon. |
