Break Damage
Great Malboro regenerates its HP with the Innate Regeneration ability. Inflicting damage is not enough as it will just regenerate its HP when it gets too low. Use weapons and combos that have break damage to diminish its break gauge.
Prioritize the Tentacles
The main source of Great Malboro's attack patterns will be its tentacles. You will want to focus on cutting both of them off as it will limit the range of Great Malboro's abilities.
Activate Resonance
Great Malboro will be moving around a lot during the fight so it can be difficult to get decent damage off. Activate Resonance to draw its aggro and have better opportunities to attack.

| Ensnare | Great Malboro will tether its arms into the ground and will find enemies. Enemies that don't evade in time will be caught and get hit with a grab attack. |
