How to Unlock All Heroes
New Players Will Have to Play ~100 Matches
In recently posted blog post in the official Overwatch 2 website, the developers announced that new Overwatch players will not be able to use all the heroes in its roster when the game launches. Instead, they will have access to a limited roster and only a handful of game modes.
According to the developers, new players will have to play roughly 100 matches before they unlock the full roster as part of the FTUE.
First Time User Experience (FTUE): All New Player Features and Restrictions
Buy the Watchpoint Pack
New players who want to bypass this limitation can try to loophole around it by buying the Watchpoint Pack. This will give a new player access to a Legendary Edition of the original Overwatch game where they can access all the heroes in the roster.

Existing Players can transfer Progression
Existing players will not experience the same limitations as they are given the option of transferring over their progression from the first Overwatch game.
