| Overwatch 2 is out now! |
Overwatch 2 is now available to play on the PC, Xbox, Playstation, and Nintendo Switch. The game is Free-To-Play, but also comes with the Founders and Watchpoint Packs that offer pre-order bonuses, skins, and currency. The game was officially released on October 4, 2022.
Overwatch 2 comes out on all major platforms. The game is Free-to-Play, but players can purchase the Watchpoint Packs from their platform's respective stores to have the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass, Skins, Currency, and more on launch.

Overwatch 2 is a direct sequel to the first Overwatch game and is a free-to-play game released on October 4, 2022.
Building upon its popular predecessor, Overwatch 2 introduces a story mode through a cooperative PvE mode, which also includes cross-play, cross-platform progression, a new seasonal system, and more.
In a Blizzard roundtable interview, developers confirmed that the original Overwatch game will have its servers shut down 9:00 a.m. PDT on October 3 in preparation for Overwatch 2's launch.
According to its developers, the downtime will last up to 27 hours until the sequel's release.
In the meantime, developers will allow players to pre-load Overwatch 2.
