Golden Gun

Golden Guns can only be unlocked by playing in Competitive mode matches, earning Competitive Points (CP) to unlock them! Each Golden Gun is a golden version of a hero's weapon that costs 3,000 CP each.

At present, there are no other ways to acquire the Golden Gun!

Golden Guns Only Need to be Purchased Once Per Hero

Players only need to buy a golden gun for a hero once. Skin-specific variants of golden weapons will always be available to use, regardless of the skin being used for that hero. This is the only case so far where the weapon skin is independent to the hero skin.

How to Get Competitive Points (CP) to Unlock Golden Weapons

Play Competitive/Ranked Matches

Unlike Overwatch Coins which can be purchased, Competitive Points can only be earned by ranking up in competitive mode or through a win or draw in competitive matches. Each Role has its own rank, meaning you can rank up in different roles to earn more CP.

All points you earn should be credited to your account immediately after acquiring them. Players that wish to acquire a Golden Gun will have to play lots of matches and rank up to earn it!
