Anniversary Event Overview

Annual Celebratory Event

The Overwatch Anniversary Event is the yearly celebration of the game's original release on May 24, 2016. This event features new and returning skins and cosmetics that players can earn and unlock by participating in the Anniversary's activities.

Return of Seasonal Brawls

The exclusive Brawls of previous Seasonal Events also return during Overwatch's Anniversary. The Anniversary event cycles through all previous Seasonal Brawls, with one unique Brawl available each day.

Anniversary Event Loot Box

The Anniversary Event also features an event-exclusive Loot Box. These Anniversary Loot Boxes contain skins from previous Anniversaries and Seasonal Events, allowing players to potentially unlock exclusive skins and cosmetics they might have missed throughout the year.

In addition, the event provides a Legendary Anniversary Loot Box to every player when they first login during the event. This Loot Box guarantees a Legendary-quality cosmetic item when opened.

Anniversary Event Weekly Challenges

Complete Matches to Unlock Event Cosmetics

During Anniversary Events, players can participate in Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade matches to unlock different event-exclusive cosmetics every week. In addition, winning a match counts as two games towards unlocking the next reward.
