How to Play and Tips

Master Heavy Pulse Rifle's Recoil Pattern

Soldier: 76's Heavy Pulse Rifle now has a recoil pattern in place of its bullet spread from the original Overwatch. Practice slowly tilting your aim downward while you fire the rifle to counteract the recoil and accurately land your shots.

Make Heavy Use of Sprint

Soldier: 76's Sprint is a versatile mobility tool with no cooldown. Use this ability frequently to constantly run around the map, flanking and gunning down your foes from different angles.

Cancel Biotic Field into Tactical Visor

You can cancel Biotic Field's entire animation by immediately activating Tactical Visor as you place the healing zone down. This technique is highly situational, but it can be useful when you need to heal and cover your team as you push toward a contested objective.

Boost Jumps with Helix Rockets

Soldier: 76 can boost his jump height at the cost of his health by shooting Helix Rockets beneath his feet as he jumps. This tip can be useful for accessing vantage points, shortcuts, and flanking routes Soldier: 76 usually can't reach.

Land Critical Hits with Tactical Visor

In contrast to the original game, Soldier: 76 can now land critical hits on his foes while using Tactical Visor. Despite your shots automatically tracking opponents, make it a habit to aim toward their heads and weak points to maximize Tactical Visor's damage output.

How to Counter

Mitigate His Damage using Shields

Soldier: 76 is a hitscan hero that likes to deal lots of damage from afar. Use Zarya as a counter to have Soldier: 76 feed your shields. Reinhardt is also a great pick for mitigating damage. Slowly get nearer to Soldier: 76 before attacking him with your hammer.

When it comes to his ultimate, Zenyatta and Lucio are great for keeping the team alive. Genji is also great for reflecting a good amount of damage.

Time in Overwatch

Jack Morrison, who in the future is known as Soldier: 76, served as the leader of the overwatch for twenty years. They contributed to the end of the Omnic Crisis and paved the way to a brighter future and a new era for the entire world.

He is alleged to have been part of the American Soldier Enhancement Program. He has augmented physical strength that make him an unmatched combatant. He also uses a cutting-edge weaponry taken from Overwatch sites.

His Vengeance

Soldier: 76, the focus of an international search, exposes the truth behind Overwatch's collapse. Soldier: 76 attacked financial institutions, shady companies, and secure Overwatch facilities. Some say he's a former Overwatch agent trying to expose the conspiracy that brought down the organization. Soldier: 76 would do whatever to uncover those responsible for Overwatch's downfall.
