Tips and How to Play

Play Doomfist With Other Mobile Heroes

Doomfist shines when played with other Heroes that can catch up with his high mobility. Some of Doomfist's best teammates include Genji, Tracer, and Lucio.

Roll Out with Rocket Punch and Seismic Slam

Doomfist can use Rocket Punch and Seismic Slam to quickly move out of spawn. These two abilities combined give him amazing vertical and horizontal mobility and let him establish early map control for his team.

Shield Your Team with Powerblock

Instead of traditional barriers and shields, Doomfist can defend his allies with his unique Powerblock. Stand between your foes and your teammates and use this ability to heavily mitigate frontal damage and boost the damage of your next Rocket Punch.

Cover Distance with Rocket Punch's Boost

You can press Jump near the end of Rocket Punch's animation to boost Doomfist forward, allowing him to cover even more distance. This boost is incredibly versatile as Doomfist can use it to escape dangerous situations, quickly chase vital targets, and reach teammates in need faster.

Boost Toward Different Angles

You can boost with Rocket Punch in different directions by panning the camera around before pressing the Jump button. This technique is useful for quickly maneuvering around corners and odd angles.

Learn to Cancel Seismic Slam

You can cancel Seismic Slam by activating it again mid-animation, turning it into a versatile mobility skill by preserving its upward momentum. You can also cancel Seismic Slam by activating Rocket Punch during the animation, allowing you to stun and knock down midair targets.

Doomfist Story

Pre-Omnic Crisis

Doomfist Story 1 Overwatch 2
Doomfist, or Akande, was born into a prominent family that worked in prosthetic technology. He was set to inherit his family business and was all around a good businessman. Secretly, however, he had a big love for martial arts. He would set aside time to practice a mix of traditional Numbani martial arts and modern techniques.

Omnic Crisis

During the Omnic Crisis he lost his arm. While his family's advanced cybernetics was able give him a normal life, his career in profesional martial arts was cut short.

Succesor to Doomfist

Doomfist Story 2 Overwatch 2
For a while, Akande was building up his family business, albeit feeling lost without martial arts. It was then he met Akinjide Adeyemi, who brought him and his unique skills to Talon.

He would eventually kill the very man who brought him into Talon and take on the title of Doomfist.

It was in his time inciting conflict that he was taken by Overwatch and imprisoned. In time, he escapes and now sits among Talon's inner council, ready to continue the mission he had left off.

Doomfist punch currently does NOT do 150. Fully charged + wall slam only does 50. Fully charged with power block + fully charged punch + wall slam does 70.
