Winter Wonderland Overview

Annual Winter Holiday Event

Winter Wonderland is Overwatch 2's annual winter holiday event, held every year from the middle of December to the early days of January the following year. This event features exclusive Christmas and winter-themed maps, cosmetics, and Brawls that players can experience throughout the holidays.

Winter Wonderland Loot Boxes

Winter Wonderland also features event-exclusive Loot Boxes. These giftbox-shaped Loot Boxes provide skins and cosmetics from the current and previous Winter Wonderland events.

Winter Wonderland Exclusive Brawls

Currently, Winter Wonderland features four exclusive Brawls that players can choose to play at any time during the event.

Brawl	Description
Freezethaw Elimination	In this 4v4 Brawl, players become frozen in a block of ice instead of dying, and their teammates can thaw them to return them to the fray. A team must successfully freeze every player on the opposing side to win the Brawl.
Mei's Snowball Offensive	In this 6v6 Brawl, each team is entirely composed of Mei, and their blasters are changed to fire a single lethal snowball. This Brawl uses a Best of 3 format where each team needs to eliminate the opposing side to win.
Snowball Deathmatch	This Brawl is an 8-player free-for-all deathmatch where each player uses Mei with a lethal snowball blaster. The player with the most kills after the 10-minute timer runs out wins the Brawl.
Yeti Hunter	In this 5v1 Brawl, five Meis need to take down a lone Yeti Winston before it defeats them all. The Yeti Winston has vastly increased HP and can find Meat around the map to power up its Ultimate.

Winter Wonderland Weekly Challenges

Complete Matches to Unlock Event Cosmetics

During Winter Wonderland, players can participate in Quick Play, Competitive Play, and Arcade matches to unlock different event-exclusive cosmetics every week. In addition, winning a match counts as two games towards unlocking the next reward.
