Lijiang Tower Description

The Lijiang Tower map takes place in China and sends players to battle across a cityscape that combines futuristic and traditional Chinese architecture. The industrial Control Center, food stall-packed Night Market, and open-air Garden provide unique locales for exciting Control matches.

Push and Pull Foes into Pitfalls

Lijiang Tower's Garden and Night Market feature large pitfalls around their control points, acting as environmental hazards that teams should be wary of. Send careless foes into these pitfalls with pushing and pulling abilities like Lúcio's Soundwave and Roadhog's Chain Hook for easy eliminations.

Utilize Night Market's Control Point Windows

When attacking Night Market's control point, remember to take advantage of its windows to ambush the defending team from unexpected angles. While most Heroes with mobility skills can slip in and out of the control point's side windows, those with teleports and high vertical mobility, like Symmetra and Pharah, can flank the enemy team from the upper windows.

Take Advantage of Control Center's Vantage Point

When fighting inside the Control Center, remember to take advantage of the unique vantage point overlooking the control point. Heroes like Reaper and Genji can use it as an extra flanking route, while snipers like Ashe and Widowmaker can use it to improve their sightlines.

Alternative Tanks

• D.Va: D.Va is an excellent alternative Tank in Lijiang Tower, covering her team from projectiles with Defense Matrix and bursting down nearby foes with Fusion Cannons and Micro Missiles. Her Boosters also shine in Night Market and Garden, letting her easily shove foes into pitfalls and reach unique flanking routes. Self Destruct is also a great ultimate for controlling space and dealing with foes around the control point.
• Reinhardt: Like Sigma, Reinhardt offers excellent cover along the map's narrow corridors and sightlines with Barrier Field. The map's terrain also let Reinhardt have an easier time landing multihit Fire Strikes and deadly Charges. When fighting around the control point, Earthshatter can disrupt entire enemy teams and sets them up for other abilities.
• Roadhog: Roadhog pairs well with Lijiang Tower's narrow terrain and flanking routes, letting him quickly burst down key enemy targets with Chain Hook and Scrap Gun. His Whole Hog is also great for breaking apart enemy positioning and cornering dangerous foes with its heavy knockback and high damage output.
• Zarya: Zarya provides excellent damage mitigation with her Barriers, which also empowers her Particle Cannon and lets her take down groups of foes with ease. Graviton Surge is a potent disruptive ultimate when used in Lijiang Tower's control points and choke points, especially when combined with her allies' other ultimates.

Alternative Damage

• Genji and Sombra: Genji and Sombra are excellent alternative flankers on Lijiang Tower due to their high mobility and evasiveness. Genji is more versatile and can quickly take out groups of enemies with Dragonblade and Swift Strike, while Sombra takes on a more disruptive role with Hack and EMP.
• Junkrat: Junkrat can apply constant pressure toward Lijiang Tower's cramped control points and choke points with his Frag Launcher and easily wipe out grouped-up foes with Rip-Tire. He can also reach the map's vantage points and deal heavy burst damage with Concussion Mine while covering flanks and disrupting team fights with Steel Trap.
• Pharah: When fighting on Lijiang Tower's Garden and Night Market, Pharah is a potent alternative pick if the enemy team lacks heavy hitscan and crowd control. These parts of the map have a high skybox, letting Pharah bombard her foes from multiple angles with Rocket Launcher and Barrage. Concussive Blast also lets her shove groups of enemies into the pitfalls around these section's control points.

Alternative Supports

• Ana: Ana provides potent single-target burst healing and damage output with her versatile Biotic Rifle, especially when used from Lijiang Tower's longer sightlines. Her Biotic Grenade and Sleep Dart are also excellent utility tools in the map, with the former providing a healing boost and anti-heal debuff and the latter disabling crucial targets instantly. In addition, Nano Boost enhances the survivability and damage output of her team's DPS Heroes.
• Brigitte: Brigitte provides excellent frontline support with Inspire and Rocket Flail while covering her team from flankers with Whip Shot and Barrier Shield. Her Rally is also an excellent tool for attacking and defending the map's control points, letting Brigitte move around faster while providing temporary health to her allies.
• Mercy: Mercy pairs well with Lijiang Tower's natural cover and ample verticality, letting her become a solid alternative Support with Guardian Angel and Caduceus Staff. She is incredibly potent when paired with Heroes she can focus her healing and damage boosts toward, such as Pharah and Sojourn. Her Resurrect also has the potential to turn around team fights on the control point.
