Moira's redesign for Overwatch 2 involves skin tone recoloring and general tweaks to their armor. Moira is also given a new mask and slightly more mean-looking purple arm.

Effect: Launch a bouncing sphere that either heals nearby allies or damages nearby enemies.
Fade	Type: Ability Cooldown: 6 secs
Effect: Disappear, move faster, and become invulnerable, but you cannot shoot.
Coalescence	Type: Ultimate Duration: 8 secs Damage: 67 Heal: 134
Effect: Fire a beam that heals allies and damages enemies.

Effect: Automatically heal over time.

Tips and How to Play

Position Biotic Grasp to Heal Multiple Allies

Since Biotic Grasp's primary fire can pass through multiple targets, make it a habit to always position yourself in a way that allows you to heal multiple allies at once with the ability.

Remember to Use Biotic Grasp's Secondary Fire

Biotic Grasp's secondary fire can reach up to 20 in-game meters and also replenishes Moira's Biotic Energy. Use this ability whenever possible to harass your foes and regenerate your healing reserves, but remember not to get carried away.

Tapping Secondary Fire Refills Biotic Energy Faster

Tapping secondary fire with Biotic Grasp refills Moira's Biotic Energy at a faster rate. However, note that this technique deals less damage than holding secondary fire down.

Frequently Use Biotic Orb in Tight Spaces

Make frequent use of Biotic Orb whenever fighting or defending along tight, enclosed spaces. These situations allow the Orb to bounce rapidly and pass through multiple targets, increasing its efficiency in healing or dealing damage.

Moira Can Pickup Health Packs in Fade

While Fade is already a potent mobility and escape tool for Moira on its own, remember that you can also safely pick up Health Packs during its duration.

Moira Can Surf in the Air with Fade

By jumping right before using Fade, you can propel Moira to extensive heights and distances compared to using the ability on the ground. In addition, she can also strafe in the air while in Fade, with mechanics similar to bunny-hopping from other first-person shooters.

Use Biotic Orb Before Coalescence

We recommend using Biotic Orb before activating Coalescence as the former's cooldown and the latter's duration are both 8 seconds. Doing this allows you to have a Biotic Orb active during your ultimate while having another one ready to use immediately afterward.

How to Counter

Attack from Close Range

Moira is particularly weak against close-range enemies like Reaper and especially Mei who can slow her down. Roadhog through his hook and the shotgun combo can instantly kill Moira as well.

Moira's ultimate doesn't do much damage and needs precise aim for it to keep hitting. Use Lucio's speed boost to keep every on the move.

Moira Story

Backstory

M oira is an infamously brilliant scientist who gained notoriety from her work on genetic programs that altered DNA. It has promising applications such as curing diseases and maximizing human potential. Many of Moira's peers saw the dangers of her work because of the ethical concerns regarding using this technology. Other geneticists were unable to produce viable results for her work. In the end, Moira's work severely damaged her reputation as a geneticist.

Time in Overwatch

Moira was recruited by Overwatch's covert ops division, the Blackwatch. She continued her work secretly while developing new weapons and technology. Moira being in the Blackwatch was kept secret until it was uncovered.

Post Blackwatch

Moira kept her work a secret, and when Overwatch was disbanded they cut all ties with her. She was soon invited to join the scientific collective and shadowy organization Talon. Some would say that Talon has been aiding her for years.
