It is a server connectivity issue that primarily affects console players (XBox, Playstation and Nintendo Switch) and can occur from both local network connectivity issues, as well as server side problems. Considering the amount of players encountering this issue and the plethora of other bugs and server problems currently ongoing, it would appear this is also server related this time.

Error Code BN-043 appears to be a server connection related error code present in both the original Overwatch and Overwatch 2. Players have reported getting this error code when attempting to connect to the server while it was down for maintenance. It is also possible that this server connectivity issue can occur from local network connectivity issues, as well as server side problems.

Check Your Internet Connection

Check your internet connection to see if your network connectivity is sufficient enough to play Overwatch 2. Also try restarting your router to see if that resolves the issue.

Change Battle.Net Region
