Hollywood Description

Hollywood is a Hybrid map that takes place in the lavish roads of Los Angeles. In this map, players need to capture and escort a Hollywood VIP throughout the numerous movie sets inside Goldshire Studios until they safely reach their trailer.

Hollywood Tips and Strategies

Utilize the First Point's Verticality

Hollywood's first area offers a decent amount of verticality and natural cover. Due to this, Heroes with high aerial mobility, like Pharah and Echo, are great picks for attacking and defending the map's first control point.

Use Snipers Inside the Wild West Set

Hollywood's Wild West Set features numerous vantage points, long sightlines, and narrow pathways. These characteristics make it the perfect environment for sniping Heroes like Ashe, Widowmaker, and Hanzo, as they can take full advantage of the terrain to land headshots on crucial enemy targets.

Prepare for the Final Area's Choke Points

Hollywood's last section consists of an enclosed area with cramped pathways and chokepoints for the attacking team to push through. Both teams should consider changing their composition at this stage, as attacking teams may want to swap over to more mobile Heroes to get past the choke points, and defending teams may want to swap over to Heroes that excel in holding down narrow spaces.

Team Explanation

This team composition uses Hollywood's tight corridors, ample high ground, and numerous flanking routes to its strength.

Sigma offers excellent cover and defensive capability in Hollywood's tight corridors with Experimental Barrier and Kinetic Grasp. His Accretion is also a potent crowd-control tool for disrupting key enemy targets and bursting down fragile Damage Heroes. When used from the map's high ground and along its narrow pathways, Gravitic Flux can heavily damage and disrupt whole enemy teams.
Sojourn is a balanced frontline fighter in Hollywood, capable of dispatching foes up close and dueling snipers from afar with her versatile Railgun, especially when empowered by her Overclock ultimate. Her Power Slide is also an excellent mobility tool, letting her cross sightlines and reach the map's vantage points and flanking routes with ease. Lastly, Disruptor Shot provides her with heavy area-based damage that also snares foes when fighting along the map's choke points.
Sombra can cross Hollywood's sightlines unseen with Stealth before using Hack to disable and eliminate enemy snipers and other crucial targets. Her Translocator is also a potent mobility tool, letting her reach the map's high ground and acting as an instant escape for emergencies. When fighting around objectives and choke points, EMP acts as a devastating initiation tool, inflicting Hack and dealing massive percentage-based damage to all nearby foes.
Baptiste offers great area-based healing in Hollywood's narrow streets with Biotic Launcher and Regenerative Burst. He can also reach the map's vantage points with his Exo Boots, letting him support his team with healing and damage from high ground. When attacking and defending objectives, Immortality Field and Amplification Matrix fortify his team's positioning, giving them increased survivability and damage output.
Lúcio provides enhanced mobility with Speed Boost and Amp It Up, letting his team reach and secure Hollywood's objectives faster. His Soundwave is also great for breaking enemy positioning, pushing back advancing foes, and singling out crucial targets. When engaging in team fights, his Healing Boost and Sound Barrier offer potent area-based healing and survivability.

Reinhardt: Like Sigma, Reinhardt offers great defensive capability in Hollywood with his large Barrier Field. His Fire Strikes and Charge also pair well with the map's narrow streets, letting him hit multiple enemies more often. When fighting around objectives, Earthshatter is excellent for disrupting entire enemy teams and setting them up for other abilities.
Winston and Wrecking Ball: These two are potent alternative Tanks in Hollywood due to their high mobility and disruptive capability. Wrecking Ball excels at space control, disrupting teams with Roll and Piledriver and denying areas with Minefield. Winston offers his own disruption with Jump Pack and Primal Rage and a respectable defensive tool in Barrier Projector.
Zarya: Zarya is another excellent Tank for both attacking and defending in Hollywood, capable of absorbing heavy fire power with her Barriers and turning the damage around with her Particle Cannon. Graviton Surge also excels at disrupting enemy teams that clump up around objectives and along the map's tight corridors.

Alternative Damage

Ashe: Ashe is an excellent marksman for attacking and defending teams in Hollywood. Reaching vantage points with Coach Gun, she provides heavy burst damage from the map's high ground and along tight choke points with her Viper headshots and Dynamite explosions. B.O.B. is also a great ultimate for contesting objectives while providing additional damage and crowd control.
Genji and Reaper: These heroes are great alternative flankers in Hollywood. They both have strong flanking tools in Cyber-Agility and Shadow Step and excel at taking down groups of foes in narrow spaces with Dragonblade and Death Blossom.
Widowmaker: Widowmaker is another potent marksman in Hollywood. With her Grappling Hook and Widow's Kiss, she takes full advantage of the map's verticality, vantage points, and long sightlines to land lethal headshots from afar. While she's a stronger pick on defending teams, having immediate access to the map's vantage points, skilled players can still shine with her on offense.

Alternative Supports

Ana: Hollywood's high vantage points allow Ana to efficiently support her team from afar with Biotic Rifle's potent healing and damage output, especially in the map's second section. Her Biotic Grenade, Sleep Dart, and Nano Boost are also excellent tools for breaking stalemates and turning around team fights.
Brigitte: Brigitte is an excellent alternative support for either team. She offers great defensive capability against diving teams with Shield Bash and Whip Shot and can reliably support her frontline with Rocket Flail and Inspire. Rally is also useful for attacking and defending objectives, allowing her to move around faster while providing temporary health to her allies.
Moira: Moira is a well-rounded alternative Support pick for Hollywood, with Biotic Grasp and Biotic Orb pairing well with Hollywood's narrow terrain. Her Fade is also a great mobility tool, letting her safely cross sightlines and reach teammates in need. Coalescence is also a potent ultimate in Hollywood, providing excellent healing and damage when fighting near the map's objectives and straight roads.
