The release of Overwatch 2 comes with its inaugural Season 1, which lasts from October 4, 2022, to December 6, 2022. Read on to learn all the rewards, chapters, maps, and events included in Season 1 and more!

Season 1 was released on October 4, 2022, the day Overwatch 2 was launched, and is expected to continue until the next season, scheduled to be on December 6, 2022. This season featured three new heroes to the roster, Kiriko, Junker Queen, and Sojourn. 6 new maps were also added to the game, giving us a total of 21 maps players can experience and enjoy.

Season 1 Rewards
Premium Battle Pass Rewards
Players who purchased the Premium Battle Pass, or the Watchpoint Pack, will be able to get all the rewards in the season 1 battle pass. There are a total of 80 battle pass tiers players can obtain, which all include cosmetics as well as instant access to Kiriko.

Free Battle Pass Rewards
Players who can't afford to buy the battle pass can still receive rewards through the free battle pass tiers. There are a total of 20 free tiers in the battle pass that will reward you with various cosmetic items and heroes.

How to Level Up Battle Pass Fast
Season 1 New Characters
Kiriko
As part of the Season 1 release, Kiriko will be the latest support hero in Overwatch 2. All players can unlock her by grinding through the battle pass or can be instantly unlocked by purchasing the Premium Battle Pass or the Watchpoint Pack.
Kiriko Profile and Weapon Abilities
Sojourn
Sojourn is a mid-range Damage Hero that fits comfortably between offense and defense. Offensively she can handle opponents with her rapid and high-impact railgun. Defensively she can slow enemies down with her disruptor shot.

Junker Queen
Junker Queen joins Overwatch 2's Hero roster as a Tank Class wielding a pump action shotgun as her main weapon. Junker Queen was already teased heavily in Overwatch's lore, and fans have been expecting her release.

Junkenstein's Revenge: Wrath of the Bride
Junkenstein's Revenge is a popular seasonal event that happened in the original Overwatch, where players can choose from a limited selection of heroes to form a squad of 4. The goal is to defeat a massive hoard of Zomnics, Zombardiers, and Bosses such as The Reaper and Dr. Junkenstein.
Details about how this new event will differ from the original are still unknown. Check back soon for more information about the event.
