Effect: Transform into a ball and increase maximum movement speed.
Piledriver	Type: Ability Cooldown: 10 secs Damage: 100
Effect: Slam into the ground below to damage and launch enemies upward.
Adaptive Shield	Type: Ability Cooldown: 15 secs Damage: 9 Shield: 200 for first enemy, 100 for every succeeding enemy
Effect: Create temporary personal extra health. Amount increases with more enemies nearby.
Grappling Claw	Type: Ability Cooldown: 5 secs
Effect: Launch a grappling claw to rapidly swing around the area. Enables high speed collisions to damage and knockback enemies.
Minefield	Type: Ultimate Duration: 18 secs Damage: 130
Effect: Deploy a massive field of proximity mines.

Tips and How to Play

Gain Height and Momentum with Grapples

Use Wrecking Ball's Grappling Hook to boost Roll's speed, height, and momentum, allowing you to disrupt the enemy team by ramming into them. These two abilities are the core of Wrecking Ball's unique playstyle, and you should always look for ways to use them in team fights.

Roll Enemies into Environmental Hazards

While combining Grappling Hook and Roll is great for disrupting enemy positioning and setting up Piledrivers, remember that you can also use it to knock enemies into pitfalls and environmental hazards, eliminating them instantly. Remember this tip when fighting foes in maps like Ilios and Lijiang Tower.

Maximize Adaptive Shield's Value

Adaptive Shield has a substantial 15-second cooldown and is Wrecking Ball's only self-shielding tool, making it vital to maximize each activation. Prioritize using the ability when there are at least two enemies nearby, and only activate it away from foes in emergency situations.

Place Minefield in Crucial Areas

Wrecking Ball's Minefield is one of the best area-denying ultimates in Overwatch 2. Using the ultimate on crucial objectives like payloads, capture points, and choke points makes it extremely difficult for foes to move forward and has the potential to break overtime stalemates.

Combo Piledriver and Minefield

Aside from covering crucial areas, Minefield can also be used offensively by combining it with well-timed Piledrivers. Using Minefield in the air before crashing down on foes with Piledriver prevents them from escaping the ultimate, letting you and your team get easy eliminations.

Remember Health Pack Locations

Playing as Wrecking Ball often means using Grappling Hook and Roll to dive deep into the enemy team with no nearby Supports to heal you back up. Get back into teamfights faster and rely less on your Support by memorizing the Health Pack locations on each map.

Wrecking Ball Story

Life on Lunar Colony

Hammond is a gentically engineered hamster belonging to the same lunar colony as Winston. He is smart and very good at escaping, secretly learning to become a mechanic.

When the gorillas revolted, he snuck on Winston's ship in escaping to earth.

Escape and Life at JunkerTown

While Winston landed on Watchpoint: Gibraltar, Hammond landed on Junkertown. Using scraps and the escape pod he landed in, he was able to partake in the mech battle arena; rising up the ranks while being known as Wrecking Ball.
