What are Overwatch League (OWL) Tokens?

Overwatch League Tokens are a form of in-game gurrency in Overwatch 2. Unlike coins, they cannot be earned through the battle pass or gameplay. They can however, be earned through watching live and encore OWL matches, as well as purchased directly in-store. There are a variety of skins and cosmetics each season which are OWL Token purchase exclusives.

How to Get Overwatch League (OWL) Tokens

Earn 5 OWL Tokens for Every 1 Hour of Live Streams or Encore Replays of OWL Matches Watched Through Youtube

By watching Overwatch League Matches on a Battle.net linked Youtube account, you can earn 5 free OWL Tokens every hour. These can then be used to purchase exclusive cosmetics and skins in store and usually need to be purchased from the in-game store otherwise.

60 Minutes Total: Not Continuous

You do not need to watch for the whole hour continuously either, split viewing sessions also count. Therefore, watching for 40 minutes, having a break, and then coming back and watching another 20 minutes of another match will still earn you 5 OWL Tokens.

How to Use Overwatch League (OWL) Tokens

Can Be Used to Purchase Exclusive Cosmetics in Overwatch 2

In the Overwatch 2 store there is an Overwatch League tab containing OWL token exclusive skins and cosmetics. These are updated every season and only purchasable through OWL tokens, so you will not be able to use coins here.

How Long Does it Take to Receive Overwatch League (OWL) Tokens

It may take up to 48 hours to receive your OWL Tokens, so don't worry too much if it has been a day or so and your tokens are still yet to arrive. However, if it has been more than 48 hours try reading through Blizzard's support article.

Eligibility Requirements

Youtube and Battle.Net Accounts Must be Linked

You need to be watching a live OWL match from a connected Youtube account. Follow the steps below to link your Youtube and Battle.Net accounts.

Step 1: Go to Your Youtube Settings

Step 2: Select Connected Apps

Step 3: Select the Connect Button Next to Battle.net

Step 4: Press Connect

Must be From an Eligible Country

The majority of countries are eligible. In the official rules, the following countries were listed as excluded from the promotion due to legal limitations:

Argentina are a gray area, with Blizzard's official reccomendation being:

“This promotion should be considered as temporary rules to grant benefits (the Tokens) for duly registered players in
accordance with these Official Rules.”

If your battle.net account is not registered to one of the eligible countries, you may need to update your registered country if applicable.

Must be 13 Years of Age or Older

Viewers must be 13 years of age or older in order to be eligible for Overwatch League Tokens. If you are under 13 you may still be eligible if you receive parental consent.
