King's Row Description

King's Row is a Hybrid map taking place in the cramped city streets of London. In this map, players have to capture and escort the payload past British brick-and-mortar shops and into the heart of the Underworld facility at the end of the road.

King's Row Tips and Strategies

Use Snipers for the First Control Point

The first control point on King's Row provides the most open space and long sightlines on the map, making it the best section for sniping Heroes. Attacking snipers can quickly pick off crucial enemy targets from their upper spawn door, while defenders have access to the numerous rooftops around the control point.

Play Around the Map's Narrow Corridors

The entirety of King's Row features tight pathways and choke points, meaning teams should always build their team compositions around these terrain characteristics. Prioritize picking Heroes that excel in close-range firefights and holding down choke points, like Reinhardt, Junkrat, and Reaper.

Be Mindful of Pitfalls in Underworld

The Underworld section of King's Row has two distinct pitfalls that careless teams may forget to position around. Remember to be mindful when staying around these sections, especially when fighting against Heroes with pushing and pulling abilities like Lúcio and Zarya.

Team Explanation

This team excels in both attacking and defending in King's Row, with its Heroes taking full advantage of the map's tight corridors and vantage points.

Reinhardt shines in King's Row, efficiently protecting his team and smothering enemy advances with Barrier Field and Rocket Hammer. The map's numerous straight and compact corridors also give him more opportunities to land multihit Fire Strikes and Charges. Lastly, Reinhardt's Earthshatter provides incredible crowd control along King's Row's narrow streets, setting his foes up for his teammate's other skills and ultimates.
Junkrat provides excellent area-based damage and space control, bombarding foes along King's Row's narrow corridors with Frag Launcher. He can reach the map's vantage points and deal heavy burst damage with Concussion Mine while covering flanks and disrupting team fights with Steel Trap. To deal with foes clumped up along the map's tight corridors, Junkrat's Rip-Tire provides a precise, high-damage explosive that can he can drive from multiple angles.
Sojourn is an efficient damage dealer, quickly dispatching foes up close and dealing with snipers with her versatile Railgun, especially when empowered by her Overclock ultimate. Her Power Slide is also effective for traversing narrow streets and reaching King's Row's high vantage points. For space control and dealing with grouped-up enemies along the map's tight corridors, Disruptor Shot provides Sojourn with heavy area-based damage that also snares foes.
Lúcio improves his team's mobility with Speed Boost and Amp It Up, letting them secure the payload and return to the fray faster. He also provides potent area-based healing and survivability with Healing Boost and Sound Barrier. Lúcio's Soundwave is also particularly useful in King's Row, capable of isolating key enemy targets in corners and shoving foes into the map's environmental hazards.
Moira offers potent burst healing and respectable damage output using Biotic Grasp and Biotic Orb, with the latter capable of bouncing around King Row's narrow paths and choke points. Her Fade gives her excellent mobility and survivability, letting her safely retreat and quickly reach teammates in need. Moira's Coalescence rounds out her utility, being an excellent healing and damaging tool when fighting near the payload and the map's straight roads.

Roadhog: Roadhog is a strong aggressive Tank on attacking and defending teams, landing easy Chain Hooks and Scrap Gun blasts in the map's narrow streets to take out key enemy targets. The map's terrain also makes his Whole Hog more effective for breaking enemy positioning and cornering dangerous foes.
Sigma: Like Reinhardt, Sigma offers potent defensive prowess in the map's narrow corridors with his mobile Experimental Barrier and Kinetic Grasp. Accretion and Gravitic Flux are also powerful disruptive abilities when used along King Row's choke points and around the payload, making him a potent alternative tank for attacking and defending teams.
Winston: Winston is another potent Tank pick in King's Row, capable of quickly reaching key enemy targets and teammates in need with Jump Pack. His Tesla Cannon and Primal Rage also pair well with the map's narrow streets, capable of wearing down and disrupting multiple foes at once. In addition, Barrier Projector provides decent cover and space control along the map's tight roads.
Zarya: Zarya is an excellent pick for both attacking and defending teams. She is capable of mitigating heavy firepower with her Barriers and turning the absorbed damage around with her Particle Cannon, tearing through groups of foes with ease. Her Graviton Surge is also particularly effective when used along King's Row's tight choke points and narrow streets.

Alternative Damage

Hanzo: Hanzo is medium-ranged marksman that excels at landing lethal headshots with his Storm Bow from King Row's vantage points. He is a great alternative sniper pick for both attacking and defending teams, capable of granting enemy information with Sonic Arrow and eliminating groups of foes along the map's tight pathways with Dragonstrike.
Mei: King's Row's ample cover and numerous flanking routes allow Mei to overcome her low mobility and act as an effective Damage pick for either team. Her Endothermic Blaster and Blizzard are particularly lethal in the map's narrow streets, and her Ice Wall excels at controlling space and isolating foes.
Reaper: Reaper is another potent flanker for either team. Wraith Form and Shadow Step allow him to effectively engage and retreat along King's Row's tight corridors and flanking routes. Once he reaches the enemy team, Reaper easily tears through foes at close-range with his high-damage Hellfire Shotguns and Death Blossom.
Sombra: Sombra is one more strong flanking pick for King's Row, capable of moving through sightlines undetected with Stealth and using Hack to disable and dispatch enemy snipers and other crucial targets. EMP is also potent for initiating team fights and disabling grouped-up foes along the map's tight corridors.

Baptiste: Baptiste offers defending teams potent area-based healing with Biotic Launcher and Regenerative Burst while fortifying their positioning with Immortality Field and Amplification Matrix. He can also access King Row's high ground and vantage points with Exo Boots, providing him with better angles for healing allies and shooting foes.
Brigitte: Brigitte excels at holding down positions for attacking and defending teams, assisting her team in the frontline with Rocket Flail and Inspire and keeping her allies safe with Barrier Shield and Whip Shot. Rally is also useful for attacking and defending payloads, allowing Brigitte to move around faster while providing temporary health to her allies.
Zenyatta: Zenyatta is another strong Support pick for King's Row, having potent healing tools in Transcendence and Orb of Harmony and amplifying his team's damage with Orb of Discord.
