Use the Building Beside the Control Point
The fire station building beside Midtown's control point benefits both attacking and defending teams. For defenders, the first and second floors provide excellent sightlines for shooting down foes passing through the nearby choke point. For attackers, the building acts as an added angle of attack toward defending teams sitting on the control point.
Utilize High Ground Around Midtown Tunnel
The Midtown Tunnel entrance provides defenders with plenty of high ground to prevent attackers from pushing the payload through the tunnel. Heroes like Sigma, Ashe, and Sojourn excel at using these vantage points to fend off attacking teams.
Snipe from Grand Central's Vantage Points
The entrance to Grand Central Station also features numerous perches and vantage points, which snipers like Widowmaker can easily reach with their mobility skills. Take full advantage of these locations by using them to snipe down foes passing through the station's tight pathways.

This team composition focuses around having high mobility DPS to deal with foes on top of Midtown's high ground and strong area-based disruption for fights around the map's payload and choke points.
Sigma provides effective cover in Midtown's narrow streets with Experimental Barrier and absorbs dangerous projectiles with Kinetic Grasp. Accretion is also a potent crowd-control skill that can disrupt key enemy targets or burst down fragile Damage Heroes. In addition, Gravitic Flux is extremely powerful when used around the payload and along the map's tight corridors, dealing heavy percentage-based damage and letting his teammates pick off foes stuck in the air.
Sojourn is capable of dueling both close-range fighters and enemy snipers with her versatile Railgun, especially when empowered by her Overclock ultimate. Her Disruptor Shot is also excellent for area denial and pushing through choke points with its high-damage area of effect.
