Error Code LC- 208 is one of the many bugs players are experiencing on Overwatch 2's launch day. Read on to find out what you can do if you are experiencing this error.

Persistent Server Connection Issue Since Overwatch 1
Error Code LC-208 is a server connection related error code present in both the original Overwatch and Overwatch 2. It is a server connectivity issue which can occur from both local network connectivity issues, as well as server side problems. Considering the amount of players encountering this issue and the plethora of other bugs and server problems currently ongoing, it would appear this is also server related this time.

Latest Patch Raised Error Frequency
Despite Blizzard's attempt to resolve this issue in their latest patch for the scheduled maintenance that happened on October 7, 2022, there have been more frequent reports of players getting Error Code LC-208 after patching their game.
Players who encounter this problem will find themselves unable to log in and won't be able to play the game.
Additional Fixes Rolling Out Later Today!
In their latest tweet Blizzard said they are rolling out updates in the next few hours to address the remaining LC-208 errors. Hopefully this time the issue will be fully resolved.

How to Fix LC-208 Error Code
On Blizzard's help forum they describe Error Code LC- 208 as a console oriented, network connection related error. Based on their advice and the current situation, below is a checklist to help resolve the issue:

Check Your Internet Connection
Check your internet connection to see if your network connectivity is sufficient enough to play Overwatch 2. Also try restarting your router to see if that resolves the issue.
Restart the Game & Battle.Net
If you are encountering error codes while attempting to play Overwatch 2, It may be worth relaunching the game, as well as the battle.net launcher if restarting the router did not resolve the issue.
Change Battle.Net Region
Try changing your Battle.net region to another server. This may cause some lag if you choose a region far from your location, but also may help resolve the issue.
To change your region, click on the globe icon next to the game version on your battle.net launcher.
Check if Blizzard's Servers Are Down
Check if the server for Overwatch 2 is down with our Server Status Tracker, as that is often the cause of these error codes.
