Like the original game, Overwatch 2 will have Cross-Platform matches. Read on to learn about Overwatch 2's cross-platform play and progression, as well as how to turn off cross-platform features.

Cross-Platform Play

Overwatch 2 will feature cross-platform matches whether its PvE coop or standard PvP. This means that players on different platforms will be able to play with or against each other.

Cross-Platform Progression

Overwatch 2 will also feature cross-platform progression. This means that players will be able to use other platforms without resetting their records, battle pass levels, unlocked skins, and more.

How to Turn Off Cross Platform Play

PS4 and PS5

1 Go to the Options Menu
2 Click on the Gameplay tab
3 Scroll down to Cross-Platform Play and disable

Xbox Series X and S

1 Head to Xbox Settings
2 Press Account
3 Head to Privacy & Online Safety
4 Click on Xbox Privacy
5 Scroll to View Details & Customize
6 Press Communication & Multiplayer
7 Block Cross-Network Play

PC

As of now PC players will not be able to turn off cross-platform play for quick play matches. Playing ranked matches will turn off cross-platform play.
