Baptiste's redesign for Overwatch 2 ditches the orange scarf for a sleeker white chestpiece. His redesign also dons a new afro-mohawk with a new yellow-orange eyepiece. His redesign also shifts his color accents to lighter more saturated hue.

Effect: Toss a device that prevents allies from dying. The device can be destroyed.

Effect: Hold crouch to jump higher.
Amplification Matrix	Type: Ultimate Duration: 10 secs
Effect: Project a matrix that doubles the damage and healing effects of allied projectiles.

Effect: Automatically heal over time.

Tips and How to Play

Baptiste Can't Heal Himself with Biotic Launcher

Note Biotic Launcher's secondary fire can't heal Baptiste. This means that you have to rely on fellow Supports, Health Packs, and your Regenerative Burst to heal yourself.

Alternate Between Shooting and Healing with Biotic Launcher

To get the most out of Baptiste's Biotic Launcher, practice alternating between shooting foes and healing allies. Doing this allows you to maximize both the healing and damage output of Baptiste's primary weapon.

Use Exo Boots to Reach High Ground

Take advantage of Baptiste's Exo Boots to reach high buildings and ledges. Having the high ground as Baptiste allows him to have an easier time landing his secondary fire on allies and even lets him potentially flank the enemy team.

Immortality Field Can Mitigate Lethal Ultimates

While Immortality Field works well for keeping low-health allies alive, you can also use it to save you and your team from potentially lethal enemy ultimates. Use Immortality Field to prevent your teammates from dying to high-damage ultimates like D.Va's Self Destruct and Junkrat's Rip-Tire.

Save Regenerative Burst for Low-Health Allies

Regenerative Burst's instant heal is twice as effective on allies below half-health. Try to save it for these situations to maximize the ability's effectiveness, especially since it has a long 15-second cooldown.

Baptiste Can Rotate Amplification Matrix

Note that Baptiste can rotate his Amplification Matrix by 90 degrees if you press the Ultimate button for a second time before deploying it. Take advantage of this feature to have an easier time covering irregular angles with Baptiste's ultimate.

How to Counter

Separate from Teammates

Dealing with Baptiste can be done in multiple ways. The easiest way is to cut him off from his allies so that it'll be hard for him to heal. Tracer, Genji, and Reaper can be good at this.

Baptiste Story

Caribbean Coalition

As a child orphaned in the Omnic Crisis, Baptiste dedicated his life to helping others, becoming an elite combat medic that worked with the Caribbean military.

Part of Talon

Later on, he brought his skills to the Talon mercenary group. While he was earning enough to support a clinic in his hometown, he realized that the violence of Talon was just like the violence that tore his life apart.

Running from Talon

He lived on the run for a time, helping others while avoiding Talon, but now he works to help set the world right. After finding out about Talon's intent to go after Mercy, Baptsite tries to warn her.

Joining Overwatch

Though he could not find Mercy, he was able to track down Ana, Pharah, and Cassidy, who decimated the attacking agents.

Baptiste decided to follow Cassidy to Eastern Europe. After fending off more Talon agents and trying to convince Cassidy that he himself wasn't part of Talon, it is pressumed that an invitation to Overwatch was offered to Baptiste.
