Complete the An Encounter with Olberic side quest to recruit him successfully. This quest becomes available after finishing the final chapter of the Master of All main quest.
Once Olberic joins your party, learn all of his skills to unlock Surpassing Power. This skill removes the 9,999 damage cap and allows your attacks to hit up to 99,999 damage.
Olberic Character Profile and How to Recruit
Next, you’ll want to farm enough JP o obtain a Surpassing Power Mastery for every party member. This part is a grind, though once you have everyone equipped with it, it’s completely worth it, especially when dealing with end game bosses.
With Surpassing Power equipped, any character can exceed the normal 9,999 damage limit, turning your entire team into powerhouses instead of just Olberic doing all the work.

To squeeze even more damage out of Ulti-meow, equip accessories that increase maximum SP. This boosts the skill’s damage ceiling even further and helps you consistently hit massive numbers.

Weapons such as the Battle-Tested and Forbidden Weapons and end game equipment matter when you're trying to deal maximum damage, so always equip your party with the strongest available gear to maximize raw stats, especially physical and elemental attack.

Nuts permanently increase a character’s stats, making them a key part of damage optimization. Fortifying Nuts increase physical strength, while Magic Nuts raise elemental attack.
Using these on your main damage dealers will significantly boost both physical and magic-based damage, helping you reach the upper limits of what Surpassing Power allows.
