Defeat the Thieves First
Focus on defeating the two Thieves first, as Gimel wil lock two of his weaknesses at the start of the battle. Even if you attack a weak spot, you won't be able to reduce the shield when it's locked.
Beware of Attacks that Inflict Silence
If you are hit by Gimel the Thief Leader's Skill Steal
attack, your character will be afflicted with Silence. When silenced, you will be unable to use abilities, putting you at a disadvantage in battle. If you are silenced, use the "Herbs of Clamor" to remove Silence.
Physical Attack Debuffs are Effective
We recommend having Therion in your Party when taking on this boss. Have him use Shackle Foe to help mitigate the damage dealt by Gimel.
The Ultimate, Aeber's Artifice is also very effective in mitigating Gimel's damage. The other debuffs will also allow you do deal more damage against Gimel.
