Twin Shot Mastery or Weaken Foundation Mastery for Combat

The Twin Shot Mastery is one of the most useful Learned Skill for the early game. This skill allows you to do 2-hit attacks during a single turn, which is extremely helpful for enemy breaking and early-game boss battles.
Weaken Foundation is also useful for debuffing enemies, lowering both Phys. Atk and Phys. Def of a foe for 2 turns. This allows you strike enemies harder, while also improving your survivability in battle.
Healing Prayer Mastery for SP Recovery

Healing Prayer Mastery not only heals, but it also recovers 10% of SP. This could help support party members who do spellcasting, like Scholars or Clerics, who use up a lot of SP to perform actions—especially during early game when SP recovery resources are scarce.

Best Dish
Dish with Phys. Def +5%
You should aim for the dish that gives a Phys. Def +5% boost. You will take less damage from attacks, which is especially useful during boss fights, and you can have your party focus more on attacking than healing.

Best Belongings
Crested Key
If you already have the Crested Key, you will be able to recruit Viator early on without taking any detours to retrieve a Key.
Fighter's Wristband or Promise Charm
It is important to prioritize offense so get either the Fighter's Wristband or Promise Charm for an attack buff depending on the job that you want to have.
Fighter's Wristband gives a +10% Phys. Atk boost, which makes it useful for a physical class like Hunter or Warrior.
If you want to cast spells with a magic class like Scholar or Cleric, the Promise Charm will give a +10% Elem. Atk boost.
