Inflict Debuffs
Fallen Mahrez is vulnerable to several status ailments. Poison and Bleed are highly effective for gradually whittling down his HP throughout the fight.
Additionally, prioritize applying Physical and Elemental Defense Down to ensure your weakness-targeted attacks deal maximum damage. To increase your team's survivability against his heavy hits, keep Attack Down debuffs active at all times.
Use Wind Attacks
Fallen Mahrez is weak to Wind, so make sure to bring characters who can cast Wind magic. For example, Xerc is effective with his Tornado and Maelstrom spells, while Saoirse can utilize Song of Winds and Song of Howling Winds.
You should also include powerful physical attackers who can exploit his dagger weakness with heavy-hitting skills.
All Characters and How to Recruit Them
Destroy Vile and Beloved Memory Immediately
After taking sufficient damage, Fallen Mahrez will use Almighty Lion to cast permanent Null Damage on himself and summon Vile Memory and Beloved Memory. While this shield renders him invincible to all attacks, it will dissipate once both summons are eliminated.
Focus all your efforts on the Memories to make him vulnerable again.
Beware of His Attacks When Reckless Rage and Lion Stance Are Active
It is highly recommended to break Fallen Mahrez early to limit his turns. However, stay alert after he recovers, as he will immediately buff himself with Reckless Rage, significantly increasing his damage output.
Once his health drops around 40% or less, Mahrez will activate Lion Stance, boosting almost all of his attributes: Phys. Atk, Phys. Def, Elem. Atk, Elem. Def, Speed, Crit, Accuracy, and Evasion. If he follows this up with Wild Stalwart Thrash while these buffs are active, the resulting combo will likely one-shot any front-row ally.

Fallen Mahrez is fought during Between Life and Death, Chapter 1 of the Bestower of All questline, at the northern end of Hell: Geist Canyon.
