Should You Choose Wealth, Power, or Fame?
Your Choice Will Not Affect How the Story Will Start
When you are asked to choose what you seek, either Wealth, Power, or Fame, you will get an increase on their influence stat, but there are no story consequences for choosing one over the other.
The only change for each influence will be your starting quest.
You Can Pursue All Influences at The Same Time
Since the influence you choose does not matter, all three starting quest locations are shown on the map and you can begin any of them, mix them together, or just hop between them quest events
And once you finish one influence questline, the game lets you play the others you skipped. Completing each one gives you an extra boost to that influence.

Choose Fame For Starting Influence
Fame is the best path to choose since it boosts the success of entreating, which can get you free items from NPCs. This is helpful especially during early game, when you start out with lower stats and limited resources.
Wealth, Power, and Fame Explained
Higher Influence Stats Increases Success Rate For Path Actions
Influence stats affect your path actions. These are actions that take outside of combat with an indicated success rate. The higher your influence stat, the higher your chances of success when you perform path actions.

Wealth Increases Success in Recruitment or Haggling
Increasing your Wealth influence can result in a greater success at recruiting helpers or haggling lower prices. Follow the Master of Wealth questline to increase your Wealth influence.

Power Increases Success in Inviting NPCs to Wishvale
Having more Power gives you greater chances at inviting residents to your town. Complete Master of Power quests to raise your Power influence.
