There are no Secondary or Advanced Jobs in Octopath Traveler 0 (Octopath 0) but you can equip additional skills via Masteries. Read on to learn if there are Secondary Jobs and how to equip skills outside a character's Job.
Are There Secondary Jobs?
Characters Cannot Get Secondary Jobs
There are no Secondary Jobs in Octopath Traveler 0. This means that most characters can only use two weapon types at most.
The protagonist can unlock and switch between up to eight Jobs. However, the weapons and skills from their other jobs will not carry over to their current one.
There Are No Advanced Jobs Either
There are no Advanced Jobs in Octopath Traveler 0. The game sticks to the 8 Primary Jobs for the protagonist, and a handful of Unique Jobs tied to specific characters who join later on.
How to Get Additional Skills
Get and Equip Masteries
Characters may use additional Battle and Passive Skills through equiping Masteries. This allows characters to use Skills that are outside their designated jobs.
You may unlock slots for Masteries with JP through the Equip Skills option in the Menu. Keep in mind that characters cannot equip Masteries linked to weapon types they cannot use.
Masteries can be obtained through different means such as Path Actions and winning in the Monster Arena.
