How to Recruit Heidne

Chapter Unlock Kindlers of the Flame Ch. 5 and Master of All Ch. 3
Unlock Condition Find and battle her in Sunshade Sands, then again in the Flamesgrace Wilds. To recruit her, proceed to the third encounter in Wishvale by completing the One’s True Worth side quest and defeating Vaughner. Can be done after Kindlers of the Flame Ch. 5 and Master of All Ch. 3. (Requires a boat).
Location Wishvale

To recruit Heidne, you must encounter her three times at different points in the story. After completing all three encounters, Heidne becomes a permanent member of your party.

First Encounter: Sunshade Sands

Heidne First Encounter
Heidne first appears outside Sunshade Sands where she tries to steal your Flamebringer Ring. This triggers a battle but you do not need to defeat her. Keep your party alive with Healing Skills and Healing Grapes and revive any fallen allies with Olives of Life until the fight ends on its own.

Second Encounter: Flamesgrace Wilds

Heidne Second Encounter
Heidne appears again in the Flamesgrace Wilds and engages you in battle. Just like before, you only need to hold out long enough and the fight will end on its own.

Third Encounter: Wishvale

# How to Recruit Heidne
1 Head to Sunshade Sands and speak to the merchant to begin the side quest One’s True Worth. Defeat the slave traders and rescue the captives, then escort Roneth and the others to Wishvale.
2 Talk to Heidne in Wishvale and answer her question correctly then defeat her in battle.
3 Start the quest Heidne and the Man Eating Miser by speaking to Roneth. Head to Vaughner's Hideout and defeat him with Heidne’s help
4 Free the remaining captives in the hideout then talk to Roneth in Wishvale Trail and Heidne will join your party
