Unlock Condition Start his quest in Sunshade and help him clear the trade route of Lizardmen.Can be done during Kindlers of the Flame Ch. 3.

Begin Kindlers of the Flame Chapter 3: The Merchant Ludo

Reime Start of Encounter
Ludo’s recruitment begins in Kindlers of the Flame Chapter 3: The Merchant Ludo, which unlocks after reaching Town Level 4 in Wishvale. Speak to Margot near the village entrance to start the chapter.

Search for Skilled Merchants in Sunshade

Reime Start of Encounter
Travel to Sunshade in the Sunlands Region and speak to the merchants near the town entrance. Continue gathering information until you learn that Ludo is fighting lizardmen along an eastern trade route.

Defeat the Lizardmen and Recruit Ludo

Reime Start of Encounter
Head east to the Eastern Sunshade Sands and enter the Finesand Ruins. Progress through the area and defeat the Desert Lizardkings and the Lizardmen Leader blocking the trade route. Ludo appears during the encounter and assists you in the fight. After the battle, Ludo joins your party.
