Octopath Traveler 0 is A Prequel to the First Game
In an interview with Famitsu, Hirohito Suzuki, producer of Octopath Traveler 0, confirmed that the game's story is a prequel to the previous Octopath games. The title is set in the same world, Orsterra, and will feature characters from the first Octopath Traveler appearing throughout the story.
The game is also an expanded and redesigned version of the mobile title, Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent.
