|---|---|
| Best Starting Job | Wealth, Power, or Fame? |
| Mastery | Effects and Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Eye for an Eye Mastery | 50% chance to counter physical attacks. Recommended for: |
| Greater Heal Mastery | Raise the amount restored by the equipped character's HP/SP recovery skills. Recommended for: |
| BP in Adversary Mastery | The equipped character will restore 2 BP near death. Recommended for: |

Eye for an Eye Mastery fits Warriors, Hunters, and Thieves best as all three spend most of their time in the front row and naturally attract enemy attacks.
The counter chance gives them free extra hits without burning SP, letting physical attackers pile on damage even during the enemy’s turn.

Clerics, Scholars, and Dancers all gain solid value from Greater Heal Mastery since their kits revolve around healing, buffing, and spellcasting.
Stronger recovery skills make their support turns more efficient, helping them sustain the party while still keeping SP management easy in the early game.

Warriors, Apothecaries, and even Merchants can use the BP in Adversary Mastery well thanks to their higher HP, DEF, and role as frontline sustain units.
Since these jobs often take the brunt of enemy damage, the free BP they gain near death lets them fire off boosted attacks, clutch heals, or defensive skills right when you need them most.
As you move through the game, more Masteries become available. Certain NPCs carry Masteries you can obtain via Path Actions, Thieves can steal them from certain bosses, and some are locked inside blue treasure chests!
